    INTRODUCTION

Today at my workplace, we organized events involved educational games activities

for English and Science subjects for Year 4 to Year 6 students. This activity's purpose

carried out to students was to show that learning is delight and it diversifiable so that

interest and student motivation will be rising.

Games in the classroom can be fun and educational. Additionally, they tend to engage

the hard-to-engage student. Some games get students up and moving around and

some require teamwork. Research indicates that students learn better when they're

actively engaged in the learning environment, rather than being passive participates

as in a lecture format. Additionally, the use of games in the classroom may well speak

to diverse learning styles not addressed by traditional methods of instruction. There

are few games such as Hangman, Process Games, Bingo and Describe ItGames.

    Hangman

Draw a scaffolding and rope for a hangman and as many blanks on the board as your

vocabulary word has letters. Ask students one by one to choose a letter. Remind them

to use the number of blanks as clues as they make guesses. Write each letter they get

correct in the appropriate blank. If a letter isn't present, draw in one part of the man

until his head, body, arms and legs are complete. If you finish the man before they get

the vocabulary word, they've left you hanging.

    Process Games

A process game is a one that can be used to learn a process especially in science

subject. Write the names in the process on two sets of sheets of notebook paper, using

a black marker so it's visible from a distance. For instance, if the path of blood

through the cardiovascular system is being studied, write down right ventricle, left

atrium, aorta, and all other components of the process, one per sheet. Divide the class

into two teams and distribute a set of sheets in random order to each one. Time them

as they try to run through the process; the winning team will put the papers in the

    correct order fastest.

    Bingo

A form of bingo can be used to study many things. Compile a list of vocabulary words

and make bingo sheets from it. Give a sheet to each student, along with 20 bits of

paper than can be used to cover the words. Instruct students to cover words as they

hear their definitions read. Tell them to raise their hands when a bingo has been

achieved (covering all in one row, horizontally, vertically or diagonally). To win

prizes, students must correctly recite the definitions of all their bingo words.

    Describe It

This is a great activity for any level and subject. Write one- or two-word concepts

from specific lessons on index cards. Divide the class in half, having the teams sit on

separate sides of the room. Flip a coin to determine which team goes first. Give a card

to the first student at the front of the room and ask him to explain the concept

without using any word or variation of the words on it. Only the students on his team

can answer, and teams are awarded a point for each successful guess. The game is

complete when all students have described words and one team is crowned the

    winner.

    CONCLUSIONS

All students really enjoyed with these educational games, these encourage them to

study and gave them ideas how to learn in fun ways especially for English and Science

subject and for teachers like me, this event showed me how to teach in different ways

besides the chalk and talk methods. We decided to organize this event again for Year1 to Year 3 students next month.
