Writing a letter of complaint

When was the last time you wrote a letter? Who was it to, and why did you write it?

If you have never written a letter:

When was the last time you wrote a formal email? Who was it to, and why did you write it?

What type of things might you write to complain about?

You book a meal online in an expensive restaurant for you and your partner. It is your wedding anniversary.

You arrive two weeks later.

Arrive at restaurant.

Manager calls website.

No booking for riverside table.

Waiter says there’s nothing he can do about it.

Waiter takes them to heir table.

See that the table is next to the toilets.

Says the waiter has to change their table.

Waiter takes order after forty minutes.

Wife orders crab.

Waiter tells her the restaurant has never served crab.

Waiter tells wife to stop crying.

Get angry, order something else.

Waiter brings desert.

Waiter spills desert on wife’s new dress.

Leave.

Gets angry.

Decides to leave.

Waiter brings the bill.

Manager shouts.

Manager says he has taken credit card details.

Pay.
