Dinner on your own after the play at Kelsey’s in Hendersonville. Cost $38. July 17, Discovery Place, Charlotte, NC IMAX theater, see Journey to the South Pacific; a cruise on the Catawba Queen in Lake Norman, Mooresville, NC, with box lunch. Cost $40. August 9, Fort Mill, SC Noon matinee of The Fourth Cross at Narroway Productions. Lunch at the theater. Cost $37. September 18, Gem Mining Tentative plans for gem mining. Details coming soon! October 18 Hagood Mill Tentative plans for to see the Annual Indian Festival, lunch at Joe’s in Easley, and antique shopping in this old small town. November 11-14 Pigeon Forge, TN Three nights at the Park Tower Inn. Plan to see The Hatfield’s & McCoy’s, Smoky Mountain Opry, and Blackwood’s Morning Show, plus tour the Titanic Museum. Leave Taylors FBC parking lot at 7:30 am with a stop at Cracker Barrel Restaurant for breakfast on your own. Complimentary breakfasts at the hotel. Cost $230. Sign up begins today. Pay $100 in July, balance of $130 in August. December 9, The Cove We have reserved tickets for The Cove. Cost will be $35 with biscuits on the way up. We will have first seating at lunch. Sign up starts in July. **Note for single travelers: We have two lists. One is for men who like to travel on the overnight trips and need another man to share a room. The other list is for women who like to travel and need another lady to share a room. Rooms will have two beds. The Travel Committee will be at the travel table at 9:30 am. She has shared her story and songs with many groups and churches in the United States and also overseas in France, Moldova and Russia. Laurie has been interviewed on CD Speak UP blog radio, Life Lessons blog radio, and WRIX as a special guest. She has also appeared on WATC-TV in Atlanta, Georgia, and WGGS-TV in Greenville, South Carolina. At the age of 14, Laurie was critically injured in a tragic car accident. She grew up in Anderson, South Carolina; completed a business degree at Clemson University; and earned a Bible Certificate from Columbia Biblical Seminary, Columbia, South Carolina. Laurie also completed a Master of Divinity degree in Women’s Studies/Biblical Languages at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, Wake Forest, North Carolina. Laurie and her husband, Kevin, are in full-time ministry. Kevin serves as a full-time Chaplain for a local hospice while also serving part-time as a Chaplain in the South Carolina Army National Guard. Laurie serves as a music teacher and High School Chorus Director at Anderson Christian School, manages her independent ministry, and regularly contributes writings to other websites. XYZ MissionsThe last time we can collect items for the Nicaragua Mission Trip will be at the XYZ meeting on July 14. The Mission Team will be leaving on July 19. We still need hygiene items such as toothpaste, tooth brushes, washcloths, soap, and antiseptic creams. We also have a real need for money donations to buy Manna Packs of food. Any amount would be appreciated. Please give this money to Nancy Nasim.
