oras makalipas ang pagsasarang botohan noong Lunes.I was very surprised, I was

blown away, ani Poe, sinabingalas-3 ng madaling-araw na siyanatulog kahapon at nagisingmakalipas ang tatlong oras.

Its difficult to take even anap. When the votes werecounted in 2004, my dad wasleading that night before we

went to sleep. But when wewoke up the following day,the results were alreadydifferent, pag-aala-alaniya.

YESTERDAY was D-Day for show bizcolleagues who

had decided to join thepolitical arena. Since they

are usually the object of envy of otherpoliticos due to their popularity, theyhave to try harder to prove that theircredentials go beyond box-office suc-cess and award-winning perfor-mances. They already have money to

begin with, so we can be sure thatpolitics is no bread trip for them. Its their way of paying it forward tothe legions of fans to whom they owetheir fame. They should make a con-scious effort to draw the line betweenshowbiz and politics so they wont betoo much of an actor to be a goodpolitician. WEDNESDAY, MAY 15, 2013 11FEATURESAdmissions and guilt love with me and that he has tolet me know that even if it is not

the right time and place. To mysurprise, he actually kissed mepassionately while his girlfriend

was sleeping. I dont really know

what came to me, Joe, but Ikissed him back! I felt so guiltyafter that incident that I distancedmyself from him. I was afraidthat someone might notice mycold treatment so I pretended asif nothing happened. I never real-ly got the chance to do somethingabout it. I decided to just talk tohim about it but I always fail todo so because he never seems tolisten to me. Joe, Michaels girl-friend is pregnant. The pain I feel

is killing me softly. Help me Joe, Iam so confused. Now I realizedthat I love him but its too late.

    Sincerely,Debbie

Dear Debbie,One of the greatest trea-

sures that we can probablyhave is a true best friend.

You and Michael have grownto experience having each other

and knowing that there will al-ways be a space in your heartswhenever one needs a shoulder tocry on. A great friendship is a

source of joy and i nspiration. Wefeel so comfortable just bein g

ourselves knowing that we areloved for who we are accepted forwho we are not.

I truly believe that successfulrelationships always have a

strong element of friendship inthem. How can someone be a

friend if you dont love him andhow can you love someone if he isnot a friend. Friendships can

sometimes be the foundation withwhich beautiful romantic relation-

ships are made. And the dilemma

starts when we fail to tell the dif-ference between friendship and aromantic relationship. It startswhen we fail to see when our ac-tions speak not of our friendshipbut of our love for a person.

Michael must have loved youlong before you even noticed itbut he probably just wasnt readyto face his fears. You also have

feelings for him but your friend-ship has masqueraded most of it.

It is just sad to know that you re-alized it at a time when circum-

    stances have become more com-plicated.

You are in love with man whoactually has a pregnant girl-

friend. It may be easy fo r yo u touse love as a reason to justify be-ing with him but it wouldnt beas easy for him to do the samebecause of his responsibility tothe woman who is carrying hischild and the child who will haveto look at him as a father soon.

Debbie, real friendship is test-ed when it is asked to bear the

pain of sacrifice. If you are reallytrue to each other then you willremain as friends and continue

to love each other as friends andnothing more. But if you decideto ask yourselves about beingmore than friends then thats thetime when you have to make adecision, be responsible for it andnever regret that you made thatcommitment.

Debbie, I hope that you willfind happiness no matter wherethis journey of friendship leads

you. Godbless and I wish you well!

DEAR Joe,Just call me Debbie, Im 29 and Michael is 36 yearsold. We met at the office four years ago. And since wehappen to be in the same room for years now, we be-came very close.

Our friendship grew and weconsider each other best friendssimply because we understandeach other so well that we neverreally had any conflicts. With justone look and a smile or two ev-erythings already okay. We werealways there for each other. Tolisten, to talk to, to laugh and cry

with or just hang around. Wereso comfortable with each otherthat we can talk about anythingand everything under the sun.We even share secrets thinkingthat no matter what happens, itllbe kept a secret forever.

He had his own love affairsand I had mine as well. And

whenever we are brokenheartedwe would always be there foreach other. If there is anything wecan do to make our separate rela-tionships with anyone work out,

we will gladly do so. Of course,we want the best for each other. He is my best friend and I am his.

We both saw each other thisway for the longest time and Inever expected that wed crossthe line since at present he is

with a girl who is my officemate as well. This is where ev-erything began.

Sometime late last year, whenI was totally broken, Michaelcame to me and confessed hisreal feelings for me. He saidthat he thinks he has fallen in

    Love
