SEE’S CANDY SALES
See’s Candy sales begin November 10th
and runs through December 1st. This is
the perfect opportunity to stock up on
host gifts, holiday get togethers,
corporate gifts and thank you’s for people
and groups who have helped you
throughout the years.
MEMBERSHIP
The PTA membership cards have finally
arrived from the district office. They will
be sent home in your child’s blue folder.
Apologies for the delay. If you have any
questions, please contact Heather
Estrella. The PTA membership tree is
starting to form, let’s keep it growing.
Check it out on the bulletin board next to
the cafeteria.
Members who join the PTA before
December 15th will be entered in an
opportunity drawing for zoo tickets. Also,
the classroom with the most number of
PTA members will have a popsicle party.
Join the PTA today and help improve the
Toler community. There are also many
discounts available to PTA members.

FALL CATALOG SALES
Thank you Toler Families! We raised
$3,109 during the fall catalog sales. This
money is going toward fall teacher grants
as well as other school improvements.
Stay tuned for a summary next month.
TOLER RESTAURANT NIGHT
This month we are heading to Mountain
Mike’s Pizza on Thursday, November 10th
from 11am to closing. You can stop in,
carry-out or get delivery. Be sure to bring
the Toler flyer and mention you’re there
for Toler. Up to 30% of Toler orders will
be donated to support Toler Elementary.
Spread the word to family, friends,
neighbors and co-workers to help raise
money for Toler.

HALLOWEEN CARNIVAL SUCCESS
The Halloween Carnival was a success! Many families came out to enjoy the fun and
ghoulish games. Many thanks to Christina Ballinger for an amazing Carnival where
many memories were created for Toler families, friends and neighbors. Check out the
collage on page 3.
OPEN BOARD POSITIONS YEARBOOK PHOTOS
To help ensure a diverse representation of
events and students in the yearbook, we
are asking help from Toler families and
staff. You can upload photos to your
classroom Shutterfly site or log into a
secure Community.Pictavo.com
and create a login, then select to upload
pictures for yearbook consideration. You
will be emailed if one of your pictures is
selected from the Pictavo Toler site for
inclusion in the yearbook.
NATIVE GARDEN COMING TO
TOLER
Toler is taking advantage of a pilot program
through the Clairemont Mesa Education
Foundation (CMEF) to plant a native
garden on the middle playground hill. A
part of the program includes science and
social studies curriculum and community
involvement. In addition, the native plants
will help prevent further erosion problems
like we experienced last year. To help make
this happen, we are looking for a Toler
volunteer to coordinate communications to
Toler families, such as sending surveys and
communicating plans. The amount of time
needed should be minimal and the impact
great. If you are interested, please e-mail

VENTA DE DULCES SEE’S
Venta de dulces See’s comenzará el 10 de
Noviembre y se extenderá hasta el 1 de
Diciembre. Esta es la oportunidad perfecta
para comprar sus regalos de cualquier

OTOÑO

EXITO DEL CARNAVAL DE HALLOWEEN
El Carnaval de Halloween fue un éxito! Muchas familias disfrutaron de la diversión y
los juegos macabra. Muchas gracias a Christina Ballinger por un Carnaval increíble
donde muchos recuerdos fueron creados para familias, amigos y vecinos de Toler. No
te pierdas las fotos en la página 3.

ABIERTAS FOTOS DEL ANUARIO
Para ayudar a asegurar una representación
diversa de eventos y estudiantes en el
anuario, estamos pidiendo ayuda de las
familias y el personal de Toler. Puedes subir
fotos al sitio de Shutterfly de tu salón de
clases o entrara a community.Pictavo.com
(una comunidad segura.Pictavo.com) y crear
un inicio de sesión, seleccione sus fotos para
cargarlas en el anuario y ser consideradas. Se
le enviará un correo electrónico si una de sus
imágenes se selecciona en el sitio Pictavo
Toler para su inclusión en el anuario.
JARDÍN NATIVO VENDRA A TOLER
Toler se está aprovechando de un programa
piloto a través de la Fundación de Educación
de Clairemont Mesa (CMEF) para plantar un
jardín nativo en la colina de juego medio.
Una parte del programa incluye currículo de
ciencias y estudios sociales y participación de
la comunidad. Además, las plantas nativas
ayudarán a prevenir nuevos problemas de
erosión como lo experimentamos el año
pasado. Para ayudar a que esto suceda,
estamos buscando un voluntario de Toler
para coordinar la comunicacion con las
familias de Toler, tales como enviar
encuestas y comunicar planes. La cantidad
de tiempo necesario deberá ser mínima y el
impacto grande. Si está interesado, por favor
