Use data to provide targeted, tiered reading interventions to students. Tier 2 Interventions are a “double dose” of small group reading instruction everyday. INTERVENE EARLY!

The Results….

96/102 (94%) kindergarteners at Parkview are reading at benchmark of a DRA (Developmental Reading Assessment) Independent Level 3 at the end of K!!!!

Regular teacher collaboration and data analysis to provide differentiated literacy instruction to ALL students…

NWF – WWR – Sept. 27% of PKV first graders scored in the “below average” or “well below average” range…. In May, 17% of PKV first graders scored in these two normed performance levels

Create Interdisciplinary Science/SS Units, aligned with MA Frameworks and rotate students through teachers and units throughout the year.

Results - over 90% of second graders scored 80% or higher on district’s common assessments for these science/ss units. Huge Success and our second graders LOVED switching teachers twice a week!
