In addition to the 3 million+ annual entertainment budget, I coordinated over 1 million dollars annually in entertainment content for two cruise vessels on opposite sides of the continent that included contracting and scheduling step-on entertainment both nationally and regionally. I managed a staff of 48 that included AV techs, cruise directors and lecturers and handled travel to and from both vessels. Responsibilities included creating and coordinating special events for guests both onboard and shore-side and creating cruise content in conjunction with cruise directors, to include daily activities, contests and games. As executive producer, I managed the writing and production of 6 on-board shows, supervising producer; musical director; choreographer; prop master and costume designer; lighting design and sound and special effects tech. I supervised the following hotel functions: on-board television and “first-run” movies channel; in-house environmental music; on-board library and navigational charts; themed décor for special events. Additional responsibilities included negotiating licensing agreements with SESAC, BMI and ASCAP on a yearly basis and assembling data, insuring a top notch entertainment product. Agent Peyton & Day Entertainment - Orlando, Florida April 2008 - October 2010 As an agent for one of the top corporate agencies in central Florida, I negotiated production contracts for all major shows both in the US and abroad, maintaining a client list that included: the US Navy southeast region; the US Army southeast region; Disney World; Suwannee Music Center; and the Daytona beach Bandshell concert series. A large portion of my time was spent managing major events and corporate functions including: sponsorships; on stage and off-stage talent; staging and production; security; catering; transportation; décor and facility control; speakers and lecturers. Owner Event Entertainment - Louisville, Kentucky December 2002 - April 2008 As a business owner, I managed all aspects of starting up and operating a small business including; staffing; accounting; procurement of new business and sponsorships; bidding production for shows and events; purchasing acts from all major agencies. I created major events and corporate functions including: sponsorships; on stage and off-stage talent; staging and production; security; catering; transportation; décor and facility control; speakers and lecturers. A portion of my clientele included French Lick Casino; Churchill Downs; Brown & Williamson; The Spectrum Center; Headliners; and the Kentucky International Convention Center.
