for both resellers and merchants. In this document, please find a detailed checklist for resellers to get
started with the solution.

II. Technical Enablement and Application Knowledge
Download the 14-day trial from the Apple App Store; search for “GlobalBay Merchant”.
After download, choose “Get Started” from the main screen.
Enter your information as if you were a merchant. It is recommended to use an email address that is different
than the company email that will be used for your Reseller account as emails can only be used on the
GlobalBay Merchant system.
Review training videos posted on the GlobalBay Merchant YouTube™ Training Channel
http://www.youtube.com/GlobalBayMerchant.
Be prepared to share with your current merchants the benefits and features of GlobalBay Merchant
for their business.
Sign up for the reseller portal VeriFone Zone (www.verifonezone.com) and review the GlobalBay Merchant
documents.
Register and attend the PAYware Connect Reseller and GlobalBay Merchant trainings. Information on how to
register for trainings is posted on VeriFone Zone.
Become familiar with the 24/7 Support available for GlobalBay Merchant:

III. Setting up Merchants
Register and attend the PAYware Connect Reseller Training provided every Thursday to learn how to setup a
merchant (registration information available on VeriFone Zone).
Obtain a MID for the merchant account with your processor as usual.
Request a TID and VAR sheet from your processor for PAYware Connect, aka IPCharge. Processor work sheets
showing information required are available under HELP in PAYware Connect.
Setup the merchant on PAYware Connect (for GlobalBay Merchant use).
Forward the confirmation email of merchant setup you received from [email protected] to
[email protected]. VeriFone will then add access to the GlobalBay Merchant Application; be sure
to let us know which Pricing Package to use (based on # of users) and which hardware kit is being provided.
Receive email confirmation of merchant setup on GlobalBay Merchant application.
Merchant will receive a confirmation email with their application sign-on credentials.
IV. Sales Enablement
Encourage potential merchants to download the GlobalBay Merchant trial application and choose “Get Started”.
Provide them with your 5-digit GlobalBay Merchant reseller code to enter in as the reseller referral code.

Review the GlobalBay Merchant FAQ document to become familiar with the product. The FAQ document is
available via VeriFone Zone and may be distributed to the sales team.

I. OVERVIEWa. What is VeriFone’s GlobalBay Merchant?
GlobalBay Merchant is an affordable, subscription-based solution for tablets and iOS-based devices such as the iPhone,
iPad and iPod. When bundled with payment hardware and other peripherals, GlobalBay Merchant becomes a complete
tablet POS system creating a window into your business operations. Easy to learn and use, the solution streamlines store
operations while elevating consumer experiences.
b. What are the components of the solution?
Software: GlobalBay Merchant is a cloud-based POS solution. The app is supported by a complete tablet and mobile
POS infrastructure that includes 24/7 merchant support, plus secure encryption and tokenization. An ecosystem of POS
hardware distributors makes it easy for merchants to access additional hardware from their sales representative.
Hardware: At minimum, a merchant will need a tablet or iOS device and a card swipe adapter to accept mobile payments.
A cash drawer or printer is optional; it is not needed if merchants don’t accept cash or choose to email receipts. The
GlobalBay Merchant app conveniently integrates with VeriFone’s PAYware Mobile e100 and VX 805.
c. What are some of the main features of the solution?
Designed for merchants and built for resellers, GlobalBay Merchant is easy to install, simple to use and provides advanced
functionality, including:
• Sophisticated reporting capabilities via a web portal
• Inventory management: add and track inventory

d. What operating systems are supported?
GlobalBay Merchant currently runs on devices using iOS 5.1 and higher. The portal is in the cloud and can support any browser.
II. MERCHANT FOCUSa. So how does this work?
GlobalBay Merchant runs on tablet and iOS devices such as iPhones, iPods and iPads, allowing the merchant to take
advantage of a true POS solution that syncs to the cloud or works as a stand-alone, mobile POS. It also allows merchants
to build out unique customer profiles, product offerings and access reporting capabilities across multiple locations.
b. What makes GlobalBay Merchant different from other tablet POS providers?
• GlobalBay Merchant is scalable to satisfy the needs of a growing business such as support for multiple stores, multiple devices per store,
multiple employees and multi-store reporting.
• GlobalBay Merchant is provided by VeriFone, the leader in payment solutions. VeriFone provides a complete set of options for merchants
to accept payments that can easily be added to the solution to enable mobile POS, EMV, wallets and new services in the future.
• GlobalBay Merchant works with multiple tablet and iOS devices (such as iPhone, iPad and iPod) and works with your existing payment
provider for a seamless interaction. VeriFone also offers 24/7 telephone support.

IV. COMMON QUESTIONSa. Does GlobalBay Merchant support multiple merchant IDs? For example, can one setup multiple merchant IDs for
locations such as a nail or hair salon, much like traditional countertop POS devices?
GlobalBay Merchant does not support multiple IDs within the application. However, you can attribute sales associates to
the transaction, or the individual line items within a sale. Alternatively, if specific accounts are needed for unique merchant
numbers, one can simply logout of one account and log back in with another to run transactions to another server. The
application will sync to the portal for each merchant when you login.
B. Can merchants restrict access to selected setup functions, such as setting prices, adding or deleting products? Is that
capability available through the administrative functions?
You can setup limited roles and privileges for each user.
c. If Merchants currently have a PAYware Mobile e100 (M087-170-00-NAA), can the device be used with the GlobalBay
Merchant Software or will they need to update to the newest version of PAYware Mobile e100 (M087-170-01-NAA)?
Either reader will work.
d. How do merchants load or transfer existing files from their current system over to GlobalBay Merchant?
Merchants are able to import files using GlobalBay Merchant portal (not the iPad). For the store portal, select the
Administrative tab then choose import. Sample template files are included in the portal for reference.
e. How do merchants get started?
Merchants should contact their payment provider or download the GlobalBay Merchant app to their iPad or iPhone from
the Apple App Store and select “Getting Started.”
f. How do merchants integrate to QuickBooks?
To integrate to QuickBooks, log into the web “back office”, click Report > QuickBooks report, then download an IIF OR
an excel/.csv file, which can simply be imported into QuickBooks.

V. MERCHANT PERIPHERALSa. Will VeriFone be selling the POS hardware like cash drawers, printers and scanners?
Hardware configurations, including tablets, VeriFone devices, cash drawers, scanners and printers are currently available
through the payment provider.

c. Can the barcode scanner be used to add inventory items (e.g., can data loaded into the scanner be uploaded directly
to GlobalBay Merchant)?

d. What are the benefits of the VX 805?
The VX 805 Contactless PIN Pad enables small- to mid-sized merchants to handle even the most complex and demanding
transactions by enabling PIN Pad payment acceptance, gift card payments, loyalty redemption and more. The device also
comes ready for NFC mobile commerce and EMV to allow you to take advantage of new revenue opportunities.

e. Will the VX 805 be prompted to include a tip?
This can be configured.
f. How is the cabling configured when using VeriFone’s VX 805 and other peripherals?
VeriFone provides detailed setup guides to assist with configuring GlobalBay Merchant with peripherals. To configure
VeriFone’s VX 805:
1. Launch the GlobalBay Merchant application.
2. Go to Settings. Select Printers & PIN pads from the left menu bar. On the bottom right side, choose PIN pads and
then touch the + icon to add a new PIN pad.
3. Enter a name for the new PIN pad device and then enter the IP address of the device. The default port should be 5015.
4. To enable the PIN pad, choose “Edit” on the bottom of the screen and slide the bar to “On”. The iPad will display
a 4-digit code that must be entered on the VX 805. If successful, the device will display a PIN Match message.
5. On the iPad, touch the “Done” button on the top right of the screen. The screen will then show a list of all
configured PIN pads with their names and IP addresses.
6. At the completion of a transaction, you will now have the option to choose the PIN pad as a payment method.
If multiple devices are setup, you will select the device to use.

Pricing is determined by the reseller.
VII. GETTING STARTEDA. How do merchants get the app?
The GlobalBay Merchant app is currently available and may be downloaded via the Apple App Store or by connecting
with the sales representative.
