Lynne Baird will be leaving Tootgarook PS after many years to take up the option of retirement at the end of this term. Lynne has been with us from February 1982 (35 years), as a Librarian, a very skilled team leader and a highly competent classroom teacher. Lynne started with The Education Department in 1979 as a casual relief teacher after completing her Diploma of Teaching in December 1978. Lynne has dedicated her skills within the Department for 38 years. In appreciation of Lynne’s dedication to Tootgarook Primary School, the final assembly next Thursday 30 th March students, staff, family, friends and the community will have an opportunity to come together to celebrate her time at Tootgarook Primary School. On Friday 31 st March, the last day of term, the Lion’s Club will be cooking up sausages for breakfast. We extend an invitation to the whole community to celebrate Lynne’s retirement at breakfast and have a chat about her times at Tootgarook and plans going forward. We extend our good wishes to Lynne and family in her coming retirement. As Lynne Baird is retiring at the end of term, Patricia Gibson will be in year 2 at the beginning of term 2. Patricia has taught English as an Additional Language (EAL) at a P-12 College and worked recently at a local Primary School. Patricia will continue to facilitate an engaging, inclusive and supportive working climate which inspires students to take full advantage of the education that is available at Tootgarook Primary School.
