I go for ward rounds because I cannot live with the knowledge that someone suffered harm while I was in a position to help. I must see all patients under my care everyday and sometimes twice a day if the situation warrants just so that I know that we are on track to getting better and out of hospital. When I have a very sick patient who is not responding to treatment, I cannot stop thinking about their condition and investigation myself as to what I could be missing. What’s your Life’s Goal? I hope to establish cardiology services that are not limited to the elite and the moneyed and hopefully introduce new ways of doing the same old things that will make heart care affordable to more people. Cardiac disease is almost at epidemic proportions and many people are suffering for lack of affordable quality cardiology care. Most doctors these days do it commercially. What drives you When I meet my maker, I will say, "I did the best I could." I always remember the parable of the 10 talents. I keep reminding myself that I am the worker with the ten talents and 10 more are expected of me. I try to live 2 days at a time.
