TAEKWONDO (Tae Kwon Do)Martial Arts Styles

Virginia Beach and Chesapeake, VirginiaMany styles of mixed martial arts such as ; Kung Fu, Karate, MMA Fighter styletraining that is safe and fun (as seen on Mixed Martial Arts Fighting, Cage Training andMMA Video’s ) , Kick Boxing, Self Defense, Fighting Styles, and Krav Maga, have beenincorporated into the ATA’s program by Grand Master Soon Ho Lee’s Taekwondo. GrandMaster is a Champion Taekwondo Martial Arts Master in America and is recognized as aU.S. Taekwondo leader. Martial Arts Movies have shown the various Martial Arts

techniques that ATA Utilizes in classes in Virginia Beach. While the TraditionalTaekwondo programs utilize a Taekwondo style uniform the Krav Maga utilizes a lineof Mixed Martial Arts Fight Wear, MMA Apparel and MMA clothing for the studentuniform.

“Get Fit” with Martial Arts Fitness in Virginia Beach and Chesapeake Virginia is anextraordinary way of staying in shape in Taekwondo Martial Arts.

Songahm Taekwondo was developed by the American Taekwondo Association in combination withvarious martial arts principles and disciplines. Eternal Grand Master H. U. Lee was a a great visionarystates local Martial arts Taekwondo Master; Senior Master Thomas a certified 7 th degree black beltMaster Instructor.

Senior Master Thomas teaches his personal “8 D’s of Discipline to his students as they progress ontheir path in life. One student told us; “ATA Chesapeake Taekwondo is truly a life changingexperience, I don’t just kick and punch. As a student of Senior Master Thomas’ I learnvaluable life skills that help me on a day to day basis. Thank you sir for Changing Lives thruTaekwondo”.

The following are tips that were shared with us in regards to Taekwondo in the Hampton Roadsarea.

1. Decision: to make the right choice. They say the journey of a thousand miles begins with thefirst step. The first step is our decision making process. Make a decision of who you want to beand what your goals are for 2010.

2. Dissolve: all negative thoughts and become a positive person with a positive outlook in life.“Find The Good” states; Senior Master.

3. Divide: your goals into categories. Be specific; states Chesapeake Martial Arts Master, Senior Master Thomas. Family, communication, relationships, financial, personal health, etc…

4. Determination: to overcome all obstacles. “Break the goals down” and this takes #3 to thenext level. Remember, keeping determined is easier with fun steps and rewarding yourself for accomplishments.

5. Dedication : in becoming a positive person. Stay on the path, utilize small steps and refocusweekly. Use positive quotes, pictures, clippings out of magazines that will help keep youdedicated to your 2010 goals.

6. Discipline: to staying focused on ones path. Self Discipline does not come easy. Have likeminded and positive people around you that will motivate you to keeping your discipline.

7. Devote: time each day to staying mentally, physically, and spiritually balanced. If you areunsure how to stay balanced and keep your well being fine tuned, research various methods inthese three areas of your life.

8. Defeat: One must persevere in life and overcome many “Life Challenging” situations andconcerns. Taekwondo Master, Senior Master Thomas states; “Always remember to step back andtake a deep breath, see the situation for what it is. Many times we dramatize or enlargesomething that we later determine was not that much of a concern. Emotional levels and stress

cannot be allowed to defeat us”.

As seen on Dr. Oz, ATA Taekwondo has much to offer the local community withMartial Arts training in Chesapeake, Virginia . Changing Lives ATA Taekwondowas founded in 1991 as a Tae Kwon Do Training facility in Virginia Beach. SeniorMaster Tracy Lee Thomas, a community leader in both Virginia Beach andChesapeake, Virginia is a member of the American Taekwondo Association and KravMaga Worldwide. Changing Lives ATA Taekwondo is a “ City Wide Partner In Education ” inVirginia Beach and active Partners with the Chesapeake Public and Private SchoolSystems. Great Bridge Primary School in Chesapeake, Virginia enjoys working with aprofessional Taekwondo Academy in Chesapeake and Virginia Beach, Virginia.
