LF Melky Mesa was another important piece, going 24 with two doubles and an RBI. RHP Chris Leroux earned the win, allowing 4 ER on 7 hits and a walk while striking out 4 over 6.0 IP. RHP Ryan Tepera earned his 12 th AAA save, striking out a pair over a perfect 9 th inning. OF NOTE: Leroux has allowed 4+ ER in four of his last six starts after doing so only twice in his first 11. He has managed to pitch at least 6.0 innings in four straight and seven of his last nine. Snapped a seasonbest three game streak without allowing a home run. Tepera had his first perfect appearance in his last 5 outings (6.0 IP). Ceciliani has all four of his home runs this season in his last 9 games after going the first 37 without one. TRANSACTIONS: SS Jiovanni Mier placed on the 7day DL @ Buffalo. Next Probable Starter: RHP Wilmer Font (00, 0.00) NEW HAMPSHIRE FISHER CATS (AA) EASTERN LEAGUE Portland: 11 runs, 13 hits, 1 error New Hampshire: 0 runs, 7 hits, 3 errors GAME RECAP: The Fisher Cats were 06 with RISP as they were dominated 110. RHP Conner Greene allowed 5 ER on 7 hits and 3 walks while striking out 2 over 4.1 IP, earning his first AA loss of the campaign. Two 5 th inning errors resulted in four of RHP Murphy Smith’s five runs to count as unearned. 1B Rowdy Tellez was 34, while Derrick Loveless was 24 with a double. OF NOTE: Since moving up to AA, Greene has allowed 5 runs (4+ earned) in both starts, while posting an overall K/BB of 6/6. His 7 hits allowed are the most in a AA start this season. Smith has allowed an ER in three consecutive relief appearances, four of his last five, and five of his last seven. Tellez has hit in 14 of his last 15 games in which he recorded an AB. Loveless has multiple hits in three consecutive games. Next Probable Starter: RHP Jeremy Gabryszwski (55, 4.27)

BUFFALO BISONS (AAA) – INTERNATIONAL LEAGUE

 Buffalo: 6 runs, 12 hits, 0 errors 

Scranton/WB: 5 runs, 8 hits, 1 error  GAME RECAP: CF Darrell Ceciliani led the Bisons to victory, despite the team going 1‐16 with RISP, as he was 2‐4 with 2 home runs and 3 RBI. LF Melky Mesa was another important piece, going 2‐4 with two doubles and an RBI. RHP Chris Leroux earned the win, allowing 4 ER on 7 hits and a walk while striking out 4 over 6.0 IP. RHP Ryan Tepera earned his 12th AAA save, striking out a pair over a perfect 9th inning.   OF NOTE: Leroux has allowed 4+ ER in four of his last six starts after doing so only twice in his first 11. He has managed to pitch at least 6.0 innings in four straight and seven of his last nine. Snapped a season‐best three game streak without allowing a home run. Tepera had his first perfect appearance in his last 5 outings (6.0 IP). Ceciliani has all four of his home runs this season in his last 9 games after going the first 37 without one.   TRANSACTIONS: SS Jiovanni Mier placed on the 7‐day DL @ Buffalo.  Next Probable Starter: RHP Wilmer Font (0‐0, 0.00)   

NEW HAMPSHIRE FISHER CATS (AA) – EASTERN LEAGUE

 Portland: 11 runs, 13 hits, 1 error

DUNEDIN BLUE JAYS (A) – FLORIDA STATE LEAGUE

Clearwater: 3 runs, 9 hits, 2 errors Dunedin: 10 runs, 15 hits, 1 error 

 GAME RECAP: Six Blue Jays recorded multi‐hit nights including C Mike Reeves, who was 2‐5 with a home run and two RBI, SS Gunnar Heidt who was 3‐4 with a double, LF L.B. Dantzler who was 3‐5, 2B Dickie Joe Thon and RF Jonathan Davis who were each 2‐5 with 2 RBI, and DH Richard Urena who was 2‐5.  OF NOTE: Reeves has hit in 7 of his last 8 games, and his recorded 8 runs scored over his last seven contests. Heidt snapped a four game hitless streak with back‐to‐back multi‐hit games. Dantzler’s 3 hits are a season‐best, while also tying his season‐high 3 TB. Davis has multiple hits in back‐to‐back games. Urena has a 5 game hitting streak with multiple hits in each of his last three games. Has hit in 8 of his last 9, posting a .457 AVG (16‐35) over that span.  Next Probable Starter: RHP Sean Reid‐Foley (3‐0, 0.68)   

LANSING LUGNUTS (A) – MIDWEST LEAGUE

 Dayton: 9 runs, 10 hits, 1 error Lansing: 14 runs, 14 hits, 1 error 

 GAME RECAP: Down by 1 run after 7 innings, the Lugnuts had a 6 run bottom of the 8th in order to beat out Dayton in a slugfest on Thursday. All 9 Lugnuts’ batters scored at least one run, while 7 of the 9 drove in at least one, including 2 RBI for C Ryan Hissey who was 2‐5 with a home run, and 3 RBI for 1B Justin Atkinson, who was 2‐5, as well as SS JC Cardenas who was 3‐4 with a double. 2B John La Prise and DH Max Pentecost each doubled. LHP Angel Perdomo left the game after just 2.0 IP, allowing 2 ER on a hit and two walks while striking out 3. LHP Dan Lietz earned the win allowing a single hit over the last three frames while fanning two batters.  OF NOTE: Atkinson has 5 RBI in his last four games and 6 in his last six. Cardenas has hit in 7 of his last 8 while recording 6 RBI over his last 3 games. La Prise has scored 7 runs in his last 3 games and 15 in his last 11, while managing 9 hits in his last 6 games. Pentecost has hit in 14 of his last 15 games with 11 XBH (7‐2B, 4‐HR) and has recorded 6 runs and 6 RBI in his last 3 contests. Perdomo has given up a home run in each of his last two starts after going 13 straight games without allowing one (since his first game of the season).  Next Probable Starter: LHP Ryan Borucki (5‐3, 2.95)

Bluefield: 1 run, 7 hits, 3 errors  

GAME RECAP: RHP Yennsy Diaz had a solid start, allowing 3 runs (2 earned) on 6 hits and a walk over 5.2 IP while fanning 7, but reliever LHP Jose Nova allowed 3 ER on 5 hits over the next 2.2 IP. It didn’t matter, as the Blue Jays were only able to score one run, going 1‐6 with RISP. RF Earl Burl III recorded the only multi‐hit game of the night, going 2‐4, while LF Kalik May recorded the only XBH, doubling as he went 1‐4.  OF NOTE: Diaz had season‐bests in IP (5.2) as well as strikeouts (7). Nova has allowed 5+ hits and 3+ ER in all three outings this year, failing to complete 5 IP in any of them, while posting a total K/BB of 4/4. May has doubled in back‐to‐back games.   Next Probable Starter: RHP Hansel Rodriguez (0‐1, 3.95)    

GCL BLUE JAYS (ROOKIE) – GULF COAST LEAGUE  

 GCL Yankees East: 0 runs, 3 hits, 3 errors GCL Blue Jays: 7 runs, 10 hits, 0 errors 

 GAME RECAP: The Blue Jays’ pitching staff dominated the Yankees East, as RHP Joel Espinal earned his second win of the season during his start on Thursday, allowing just 1 hit while fanning 5 batters. RHP Yonardo Hernendez earned his third save in as many outings, allowing just 2 hits over 3.0 IP while striking out 1. RF Antony Fuentes led the offence, going 2‐4 with a triple and an RBI, while 2B Alfredo Bohorquez was 2‐3 with a double and an RBI.  OF NOTE: Espinal has never allowed more than 3 hits or one run in a start this season. He recorded his second consecutive quality start over, which time he tossed 12.0 innings, allowed 4 hits, 0 ER, and posted a K/BB of 15/0. In his starts this season his K/BB is 21/1. Hernendez has yet to walk a batter or allow a run during his three‐3.0 IP save outings. Fuentes has driven in at least one run in each of his last five games. LF Norberto Obeso has scored at least one run in each of his 9 games this season, totalling to a GCL‐leading 14 runs. He is also tied in 1st (with teammate Bichette among others) with 5 doubles this season. SS Bo Bichette has hit in 10 of his 11 games this season, with a GCL‐leading 18 RBI.  Next Probable Starter: RHP Guadalupe Chavez (2‐0, 0.00)
