1 How to register a password

Password registration is required to receive User ID. Follow the procedures below to complete the

registration process.

1.1 Login with a temporary password

[Log in with a temporary password.]

[This page appears after clicking a URL in the message of "Issue a Temporary Password.”]

Step 1. Enter your temporary password which is sent by e-mail in both [User ID], and [Password] fields.

Step 2. Click [Login].

As stated above, the operation for [1.1 Login with a temporary password] is completed.

Please refer to [1.2 Acquire a permanent password] for the next step.

1.2 Acquire a permanent password

[Issue a temporary password → Log in with a temporary password → Change a password]

Step 3. Click [View Password Policy (in a separate window)].

Set your password after you thoroughly understand the displayed password policy.

Step 4. Enter [Old Password] (Temporary Password).

Step 5. Enter [New Password]. Re-enter a new password in [Confirm a Password] field for confirmation.

Step 6. Click [Save].

* When an error message appears, enter a valid password by following the instruction.

["Completion of changing a password” Page]

As stated above, the operation of [1.2. Acquire a permanent password] is completed.

The new password is usually available in a few minutes.

2 How to change a password

Your password can be changed anytime. Also, a password must be updated at least once in half a year

(183 days).

*Note that a password expiration period may be shorter than half a year depending on a system.

2.1 Regular Login

[Regular Login]

Step 1. Click [Change a Password] in the left menu.

Step 2. Enter your e-mail address.

Step 3. Click [Send].

["Change a Password" Notice Completion Page]

Password changing procedure will be be sent.

Click a URL in the message to change a passwaord.

Step 4. Enter [User ID] and [Password].

Step 5. Click [Login].

As stated above, the operation for [2.1 Regular Login] is completed.

Please refer to [2.2 Change a Password] for the next step.

2.2 Change a Password

[Regular Login > Change a Password]

Step 1. Click [Change a Password].

Step 2. Click [View Password Policy (in a separate window)].

Set your password after you thoroughly understand the displayed password policy.

Step 3. Enter [Old Password].

Step 4. Enter [New Password]. Re-enter a new password in [Confirm a Password] field for confirmation.

3 How to check the contact information for the service

Please contact Information System Division when you have any inquiry about the use of User ID.

"Contact Information" can be found in the following menu.

3.1 Request to send the contact information for the service by e-mail

["Contact Information" Page]

Step 1. Click [Contact Information] in the left menu.

Step 2. Enter [User ID (e-mail address)].

Step 3. Click [Send].

["Contact Information Sent" Page]

"User Information" and "Contact Information of the Service" will be sent by e-mail.

As stated above, the operation of "3 How to check the contact information for the service" is completed.

4 What to do when you forget a password

A temporary password is required. Please re-issue a temporary password by following the below

procedure.

4.1 Re-issue a temporary password

Step 1. Click [Forget Your Password (Issue a Temporary Password)] in the left menu.

Please refer to [5 How to issue a temporary password] for the further procedure.

5 How to issue a temporary password

5.1 Issue a temporary password.

[Issue a temporary password]

Request to send "Temporary password issuance procedure" by e-mail for user confirmation.

Step 1. Click [Forgot Your Password? (Issue a Temporary Password)] in the left menu.

Step 2. Enter your e-mail address.

Step 3. Click [Re-issue Procedure]

"Temporary password issue procedure" notification e-mail will be sent.

Please click the URL on ["Issue a temporary password" Page] in the message.

["Issuance of a temporary password is completed" Page]

As stated above, the operation of "5.1 Issue a Temporary Password" is completed.

A temporary password will be valid for 14 days. Please acquire a permanent password as soon as possible.

5.2 Re-register a password from a temporary password.

Next, re-register a password from a temporary password

Please refer to [1. How to register a password.] for a procedure.

6 Other Items, FAQ

6.1 When the message "Your password is expired." appears

The valid period of password is six months. This message appears when more than six months

has been passed after the last password change (new registration). Please change your password.

6.2 When the message "Your account is locked." appears

The account will be locked after ten continuous incorrect password input, and the application

login will be unavailable. The password needs to be changed.

Step 1. Refer to [5. What to do when you forget a password (Use of Verification Q&A)] or [6. When

you forget the password (Password re-registration)] and follow the same procedure.

6.3 When the message "Your User ID or password is invalid." appears

A password is case sensitive.

Step 1. Enter User ID and a password again.

Step 2. Contact Directory Administrator, when a problem cannot be solved in "Step 1."
