Just like metal, glass corrodes, even new glass, chemically attacked by alkaline, seawater deposits, salt spray, lime scale, metal oxides and solvent based abrasive cleaning products.

Total Aspect Marine uses the ClearShield ™ Easy Clean ‘Non-Stick’ Glass Surface Renovation and Protection System to rectify all of the above glass related problems.

ClearShield ™ chemically bonds with the glass surface, it is non toxic, chemically inert, non hazardous and will not peel, crack or flake. ClearShield ™ also creates ‘greener’ glass, requiring the use of less water, no harsh cleaning products, takes less time and energy to clean the glass, producing a sparkling finish for satisfied owners, guests and crew.

The hygiene and sand blasted grades are also excellent for use on inner areas such as, shower rooms and galley areas where glass and ceramic surfaces can also be treated.

Available as a specialist service to the luxury yacht and super yacht owner and as a DIY kit for those with smaller craft or craft with a lesser glass surface area.

Protection

The prepared surface is neutralised, removing all the moisture from the glass. ClearShield ™ ‘Non-Stick’ Glass Surface Protection is then applied. A totally clear bonding less than a micron thick. After a short curing period the glass is cleaned off leaving a sparkling finish.

Restoration

The glass is first tested and prepared using pre-cleaner and lime scale remover. Then it is chemically renovated, removing all the organic and in-organic contamination leaving a pure surface ready for the protection to be applied.

Maintenance

To keep the level of protection at its optimum performance, using the recommended after care solution on a regular basis will keep the ‘easy clean’ property of the glass for many years. No abrasive or chemical cleaning products are required, simply wash down with the diluted after care solution and dry off with lint free paper towel.
