Arm / Boom Extension

Trucks with long boom extensions such as fire trucks or concrete pumps

have to reach to high-rise buildings, often over large obstacles. IXArc

rotary encoders can be mounted directly on the rotational joints to

provide data for active damping systems. TILTIX single or dual

Heavy Duty EncodersposITAL‘s absolute and incremental encoders

feature a unique combination of high performance

and rugged durability that make them ideal for the

most demanding motion and speed control appli-

cations. IXArc magnetic encoders can withstand

high shock loads (up to 300 g) and are also much

less vulnerable to dust or moisture contamination

than encoders built around optical disk technology.

Explosion Proof Enoders posITAL explosion proof sensors are designed

to operate safely in atmospheres where there are

potentially dangerous levels of explosive gases or

dust. The IXARC ATEX-certified encoders have

been certified in compliance with IECEx and ATEX

directives and utilize optical or magnetic technology.

They can be ordered with a wide range of moun-

ting and coupling options that ensure that they can

be installed in zones 1 and 21 (as defined from the

The TILTIX ATEX- certified inclinometers are de-
