ABSTRACT

Tourism is a way of utilizing resources, which would otherwise remain idel for instance landscapes and cultural sites. Tourism is currently India’s largest domestic generator of foreign exchange Rs.7,400 crore in 2000. Recognizing the significance of tourism as a tool of economic development, the Indian Government in 1984 gave in the status of an Industry.

Private Tourist agencies and other Government

agencies are the main sources, which help in promoting the business. Through these agencies only, Tourists can enjoy the landscapes and cultural sites.
