Making and responding to requests

To ask someone for something: Tu as un stylo? Do you have a pen?

Use un with masculine nouns:

Remember, all nouns have gender, whether they refer to people or inanimate objects.

Use ces with plural nouns whether they are masculine or feminine and whether they begin with a consonant or a vowel sound.
