To compliment the 130 year old federation style home, originally built for the Miss Harts (who were part of the Hart sawmilling family of Maryborough); a formal garden has been developed over the past 36 years by the current owners.

This garden is at one with the Queenslander nestled within. Mature trees and palms provide the canopy for a diverse range of plantings. Winding paths will lead you on a journey of discovery through azaleas, citrus and potted plants.

This garden is less that 12 months old with a very diverse range of plantings. Take time to enjoy all that this garden offers including annuals, succulents and bonsai combined with garden sculptures, pottery features, fernery nooks and hanging plants.

These mature gardens have a wonderful shade canopy for the hot summer days and provide shelter for a variety of understorey plantings. Exploring the gardens will show a mixture of native and tropical plants interspersed with beautiful statutory.

Colour and quirkiness abounds in this garden. Follow the path to an exciting garden crammed with many forms of recycled and quirky garden art created by the owner.

The garden is only 5 years of age. Effort has been put into landscaping, transplanting palms and building a new house. The garden consists of a rose garden, fruit trees, vegetable garden, mini rainforest, ferneries, hedges, chooks and more.

This garden is about 9 months old and has an eclectic mix of gardenalia collected from all over the country. Plantings have been designed to create colourful spaces and attract bees and butterflies. Ongoing work in progress, expanding succulent and bromeliad collections.

There is lots of room to move in this large country garden featuring sweeping lawns, established native trees and a productive vege patch and fruit trees. Discrete garden areas provide plenty of room for visitors to wander around the garden.

The historic Queens Park dates back to 1866 when Maryborough’s first mayor Henry Palmer, requested that his residents have free use of land near the Maryborough wharves for recreation or public gardens.

Evolving over 14 years, a now-mature orchard with fruit and nut trees, established vege gardens and chickens to provide eggs and support the eco-system works wonders to provide year-round produce. Enjoy the several garden rooms and the many species of birds that visit.

The Elizabeth Park Rose Gardens was the site of Maryborough’s second official cemetery which closed in 1873. In 1921 the land was converted to a public park and is now full of beautiful roses that simply delight the senses when in full bloom.

On the 9th August 2020, to celebrate the 120th anniversary of P.L. Travers birthday and named in honour of the Proud Marys, Mary’s Garden was officially opened. This outdoor extension of The Story Bank in Maryborough delivers on Mary Poppins’ promise that ‘anything can happen if you just imagine’.

A Yengarie Gallery and Gardens visit will enthrall and inspire. With over twenty garden rooms, the artistic flair of the owners gives countless design ideas to take home. Bird life features throughout the gardens.
