GRAVENHURST OPERA HOUSE

A message from the Gravenhurst Fire Department

Did you know that careless smoking remains a leading cause of fires in Ontario. Combining smoking with alcohol consumption can be a recipe for disaster!

If you smoke, we encourage you to do so out of doors and ensure that

cigarette butts are placed in a non-combustible container well away from any building, vehicle or treed area. A coffee can partly filled with sand makes an excellent repository. Lighters and matches should also be kept away from young, curious children. Speak to them about the dangers of these items, and about fire safety in your home.

Help make 2016 the safest year ever and protect what you value most!

Happy New Year from your Gravenhurst Firefighters!
