As mentioned before Belta’s smaller/hantchback version is known as Vitz/Yaris. There are
certain reasons for Vitz to capture the local market now but earlier when it was imported andwas available for only 0.5 million rupees but now the same car is worth around 0.8-1.0 million
rupees. The same situation might be attained by Belta in future but currently it’s not so.

CONCLUSION
Although Belta is now taken as Dog in the BCG Matrix it will soon make a better position
in the market. The following are few point that can be highlighted:
Platz was the older version of this car which got discontinued in the year 2005
and the company came up with Belta.
Belta or any other imported (used) car doesn’t provide any sort of warranty.
Price of Belta parts are some way higher and rare in some markets, but as the
people have started buying Belta this will change soon in the same way as waswith Vitz when introduced in Pakistani market.
Its main competitors in the local market are Honda City, Toyota Corolla Xli and
Gli, if we take about hatchback cars Suzuki swift can eat its share.
Even though Belta’s price is between 9.5 lakh – 11.5 lakh the local manufactured
cars with the price range of 1.05 million(Swift), around 1.3 million for Honda city
and Toyota Corolla have better demand/market and its due to the point
mentioned above and its being brand new zero meter car.
