Toyota EtiosToyota Etios ExteriorExteriorIt has manage to give good design and styling with proportioned and balanced,

they have achieved this due to long wheelbase. Its grille is typically Toyota and the sharp curve gives it some character, along

with the prominent crease on the bonnet.

The front headlight look quite tame (domestic) as does the front bumper with

a pair of tiny fogs.

The rear is the least attractive bit and the vertical boot lid and large triangular

light bear some resemblance to the logan, which isnt a good thing.

The most important when it compares to Etios from other cars i.e. The Swift

Dzire feels claustrophobic in comparison and even the Indigo Manza feels

small in front of the Etios.

The front seats offer the right

amount of back and thigh support and

the correct amount of cushioning to

make them comfortable for long

hours, but the taller drivers might face

problem, even adjusting the steering

wheelThe flat-bottomed steering wheel is good to

hold and looks sporty too.

The visibility is excellent due to thin A-pillar.

The centrally mounted instrument cluster with

white back lighting for the semi-circular dials

looks terrific.

The twin vents are placed vertically rather thanthe traditional horizontal position for effective

rear seat cooling.

The A/c cooling is very good as it chills the

back seat with in seconds

Overall quality is decent, but there are some plastics, which

is not up to that mark as VW Vento and Honda City.

The rear seats with their large squabs, perfect backrest angle and the right

amount of cushioning are supremely comfortable as well. At the rear nearly it has flat floor tunnel ensures that three can sit abreast

(side by side) comfortably for long journeys.

Etios is perfectly good spacious in other area too.

The 595-litre boot is bigger than even the premium Corollas and

also even 13 liter glove box which is cooled and ideal to keep water

bottles for long journeys.

Performances is good for everyday driving and overtaking on the highway

means good efficiency on fuel.

The engine seems quite not satisfied as revs rise and theres a bit of road

noise too.

The engine and gearbox refinement doesnt set any standard.

Like all Toyota, bullet-proof reliability and total peace of mind are almost

guaranteed

On road it has 1.5-litre 90bhp petrol engine. The weight is 930kg (therefore

terrific fuel economy), but able to give lively performance by sporty gearing .

The Etios recorded a class-best figure of 17.64kpl in the ARAI driving cycle

The good about Etios is 170mm ground clearance as it is ideal to take on ourbad roads.

The steering is very light and requires little effort but its not quick and in fact

has greater turns, lock to lock, than usual.
