RFC Cabinet MRFU InstallationPage 25

Special handle is needed to remove the DRFU Insert MRFU of relevant bands (900/1800) into RFC cabinet900MHz use slot 0, 2, 4 and 1800MHz use 1, 3, 5 slots (start with Slot 0)

RFC Cabinet Power Cable connectionPage 26

Use 2 pair of 16mm2 DC cables to connect power from TP cabinet to RFC cabinet

RFC Cabinet Cabling - RF cablesPage 27Usually, one cabinet has 6 jumpers, refer to the picture for the jumper and RF cable connection. One end of the jumper is straight DIN connector, the other end (BTS side) is right angle DIN connector. The connectors need to be made on site. The configuration of the cell is as showing in the picture:S2, S2 PBT, S3, S4Tie yellow color label to the jumper.

Upper 6 jumper to be installedUsually, the lower 6 jumper is not needed

Lay the AC power cablePage 28Dig a channel between meter cubicle and plinth.Lay the AC power cable with GI pipe, and flexible GI hose used as bend. The armor of the AC cable need to be grounded.Ground the GI pipe with M8 x 25mm bolt & nut, using 25mm^2 grounding cable.Bury the pipe

Dig a channel and lay the AC cable Make the bend with GI flex hose Ground the AC cable armor with the hose clip

Install the SPDPage 29Install the SPD on meter cubicle or pole, the SPD should be grounded with 25mm2 cable, and cable need to be protected.

Method 1:Install SPD on the meter cubicle Method 2: Install SPD on the pole

Tri-band Antenna InstallationTri-band antenna support three RF unitsRed Band (824-960MHz) : Use for 2G 900MHzBlack Band (1710-2180MHz) : Use for 3GBlue Band (1710-2180MHz) : Use for 2G 1800MHz

Adjust the tilt angle of the antennaUsing the scale on the upper supportPage 32

Adjust the inclinometer according to the engineering design and stick the inclinometer to the rear of the antenna. Push or pull the antenna till the bead in the inclinometer is located in the middle horizontally.Mobitel requirement is to set the tilt from electrical tiltingTherefore set mechanical tilt to zero and adjust required tilt from electrical tilt

Connector Waterproof ProcessWrap the connector from the point 20 mm [0.79 in.] away from the end of the connector to the point 20 mm [0.79 in.] away from the other end of the connector. When wind the waterproof adhesive tape, draw it equably to be the half of the primary width. The winding position of the cable tie should be 10mm distance to the waterproof adhesive tape. The color of the cable tie is black, and it is ultraviolet. Waterproof processing should be operated after the VSWR test result satisfying the request.
