29 June – 19 July: Children’s Art Week
13 – 19 July: Oxfam Water Week
Welcome to our Trust Newsletter where we share news, activity and achievements from our students and staff working at home and in school. Many of our schools remain open for critical workers children and vulnerable children. Please see school websites for details. Our Trust has grown to 28 schools across Cornwall and we now work with 6000 children and young people from Liskeard to Sennen. We were pleased to be the first multi academy trust in the country to be subject to an Ofsted summary evaluation in January 2019, which recognised our Trust as ‘one that schools want to join’. TPAT WELLBEING
NATIONAL DAYS
PENDEEN SCHOOL Pendeen School were lucky enough to be featured on the BBC Radio Cornwall
breakfast show in June!
“Staff at a primary school in west Cornwall have been describing going above and beyond to provide support to vulnerable families in the area during the Covid-19
pandemic.
Staff at Pendeen Primary School, including the head teacher, have been delivering food boxes to children every day, and dropping them on doorsteps to make sure
those entitled to free school meals have had enough fresh food.
Thirty-five food boxes are delivered to vulnerable families in the community three or four times a week, containing products from the local farm, Pendeen Church and
the school’s dinner ladies.”

6 FUN THINGS TO DO Due to Coronavirus, we have provided a list of fun things to do indoors
this week. Have fun!
1) Children’s Art Get involved and celebrate Children’s Art Week by taking part in one the online activities.
If you don’t want to do them, why not create your own art masterpieces – Set yourself 3 themes and each week choose 1 of those themes to base your art on. Have fun!
2) Mini Beasts
3) Bird Cakes
Inspired by Blackwater Community Primary School – Can you create your own mini beasts?
Butterflies, Dragonflies, any type of animal or insect… Get painting!
Check out Blackwater School’s entries in “Challenges”
Inspired by Gulval School – Make fat cakes for hungry birds.
The RSPB and BBC Gardeners’ World websites offer simple recipes using fat, seeds, nuts and cheese. Hang the cakes in a tree or place on a bird table and watch who comes to visit.
4) A Day in the Life Write about a day in the life of a household object. Choose an object from your house.
What does it get up to? What does it think? Write a diary to show your objects thoughts and feelings.
5) Build a Den Inspired by Gulval School – Build an indoor or outdoor castle, fort or den, for you or to share with a member of your household. Be creative with materials to make a floor, walls, roof and lookout holes. What will you call your special please? What will you do there? Design a flag and invent a secret language just for your den.
6) Float or Sink Take a different route to Water Week – Have bath time fun by guessing what will sink and what will float.
