Import applications used in chrysler vehicles are toward the end of the section. The following criteria should be used to determine the proper converter: In 1998 Chrysler changed the bolt pattern from an offset bolt pattern to a 90 degree (even) bolt pattern for A604, A606 transmissions. The offset bolt pattern may be distinguished from the 90 degree bolt pattern by examining the mounting pad. A tapered pad denotes offset, a half-moon shaped pad denotes the 90 degree bolt pattern. NOTE: Offset bolt patterns have an "O" shaped ID mark stamped next to one of the mounting pads. FWD - A404 / A670 ( 3 speed ), A604 / A606 ( 4 speed ) - Diameter: 10" / 10 3/4" - Non lockup / Lockup - Stall speed: High / Low - Impeller design: Deep / Shallow & Smooth / Ribbed - Hub design: Slots / Flats - Mounting pads: 3 / 4 Offset / 90 degrees - Turbine splines: 22 / 23 / 24 In 1996 Chrysler changed the bolt pattern from an offset bolt pattern to a 90 degree (even) bolt pattern for all A500 & A518 transmissions. In 1998 Chrysler changed the bolt pattern from an offset bolt pattern to a 90 degree (even) bolt pattern for A604,A606 transmissions. The offset bolt pattern may be distinguished from the 90 degree bolt pattern by examiningthe mounting pad. A tapered pad denotes offset, a half-moon shaped pad denotes the 90 degree bolt pattern.NOTE: Offset bolt patterns have an "O" shaped ID mark stamped next to one of the mounting pads.
