Pricing

have the flight itinerary priced, and the resulting pricing record stored.

In order to price the ancillary services and to store a pricing record, use the FXG entry as shown below.

Welcome to Ancillary Services

Ancillary Services are available to book in Amadeus Selling Platform (cryptic and graphic) and provide travel agencies with a competitive and comprehensive range of optional and additional air services to their customers such as seat selection, multiple baggage services, in-flight entertainment, priority boarding, etc.

Seamlessly integrated into existing pricing and booking

flows, travel agents can exploit increased parity with the content available on airlines’ own websites, offering an enhanced customer service, and reinforcing your role as a travel consultant.

Chargeable services with EMD-A

The sale of ancillary services is easily integrated in the

booking flow and issued on a passenger and service associated Electronic Miscellaneous Document (EMD-A). All elements are harmonized in a single PNR, giving an instant view of your customer’s travel choices.

The following examples show the flow booking, pricing

and issuing of an ancillary service in cryptic as well as in graphic environment in Amadeus Selling Platform.

Booking of a seat

In the booking below, a seat is added from a seat map.

Cryptic: SM2 (segment nbr) ST /10A (seat nbr)

Graphic: Available chargeable seats are marked on a blue background.

Booking of other ancillary services

The ancillary services catalogue can be easily accessed through the Selling Platform in cryptic and graphic mode.

1. Cryptic Service Catalogue

FXK

Display the Ancillary services for booked air segment(s).

Chargeable ancillary services, like pre-paid baggage or

weapon in the example below, are added with SR request.

Cryptic: SR ABAG

SR PDBG

SR WEAP-FREETEXT

The “/” before the SSR element in the reservation

indicates that a service is chargeable, and that pricing is required.

NB! Applicable service codes are defined and filed by each carrier and therefore can vary from airline to airline (ref. for carrier specific info - GGAIRYY).

2. Graphic Service Catalogue

The option to choose ‘Ancillary services catalogue’ under the Customize tab will automatically display the Ancillary Services Catalogue in Graphic.

Graphic: Chargeable services are indicated with fare and bookabe in the graphic display for selected segments.
