There was no direct flight from Taiwan,Japan, or Korea to Semarang, soparticipants should transit in Jakarta. Thedirect flight may be available fromMalaysia and Thailand to Semarang. Hereis the important guidance to you duringyour transit.
• You may arrive in Terminal 3 and keep watch your next trip if still in Terminal 3 or Terminal 2.
• If your next trip is Terminal 2, so you should transfer to Terminal 2 using airport train• Please refer this useful links to find the transfer
process: http://www.jal.co.jp/en/inter/airport/cgk/transit/• In Soekarno Hatta Airport, your baggage will be checked by custom clearance and
staff will be asked for the customs form (please refer this link to get information about the form: https://www.embassyofindonesia.org/index.php/customs-declaration/).
• No worry for good student, because the items listed in the form are about financial matter for rich people only. This forms are also asking about the drug etc.
• Be careful, no baggage could be transferred automatically to Semarang except direct flight but you can ask your flight staff to find clear information.
• Student with free visa countries may directly go to the foreigner line to arrange on arrival visa while for the non free visa it may be asked to arrange the visa in home country.
• Don’t leave your belongings unattended. You may also ask the official porter to bring your belongings safely.
What should you do
in Jakarta during transit?
Arrival in Ahmad Yani Airport, Semarang• This information is very important to you.• After arrival please wait for student staff to pick you up and please stay in the waiting space area
near by exit gate.• The student with official uniform may take you to our campus• Our buddies will pick you as your arrival time and transfer to your room.• Please ask buddies if you want to buy your need. The mini market is available close to guest house.• With buddies, you can also ask for lunch or dinner. However during course activities, lunch or dinner
will be provided by committee• Short unofficial meeting with committee will be conducted in guest house.
These all your needduring course
• Since Semarang city is categorized as a hot region country, it is suggested to bring hat, anti-mosquito lotion and UVprotection cream.
• Activities in beach and coastal area will also be conducted, so please prepare the swimsuit.
• Committee will provide the snorkeling equipment for free during snorkeling class
• Please prepare water resist sandal/shoes
• You may also bring the underwater camera
• Wifi will be available only in class. If you have a plan to get the Indonesia's provider sim card, please ask buddies whenyou are arrive in guest house.
• The room will be for two or three students. Committees have grouped the participants and you may ask for the changes.
• Indonesia Rupiah is available in ATM, so you can go to closest ATM to get Indonesia Rupiah with your visa/master or ATMdebit card. Please ask our buddies to run this. You may also changes your money in Jakarta during transit or in theSemarang city.
• Committee will provide one handy talkie to keep communication among participants and buddies.
• We strongly recommend to participants to use Whatsapp for communication.
