Procedure 1st. Origin universities are required to submit the list of nominated students to [email protected] / [email protected] including: - Students´ full name and e-mail address - Tentative dates of their stay - Subject area (VERY IMPORTANT) - Studies or traineeship modality
2nd. The University of Valladolid will contact selected students via e-mail in order to provide them with information and to request them the necessary documentation for their prospective acceptance.

Admission requirements
Once the students receive their selection e-mail, they will be provided with all the information about their registration and they will be required to provide the following documents:
• National Identity Document or Passport (valid for the whole period of their stay) • Evidence of B1 Spanish language level (diploma) • Medical insurance, including repatriation and international medical evacuation
costs (valid for the whole period of their stay) • Learning Agreement filled in with the courses to be undertaken at our university.

Once the documents have been examined and validated, the student will be admitted and will receive his/her Acceptance Letter.

All students will process their enrolment at the International Relations Office, except those following double degree programmes (undergraduate or master level), who will enroll at their corresponding Faculty or School.

Course load A maximum of 30ECTS per term
Language of instruction
Courses will be taught in Spanish, except the following ones, which will be delivered in English:
• International Semester Programmes • Specific courses taught in English.
A. If the student takes courses taught in Spanish, a B1 Spanish level (CEFR) will be recommended.
B. If the student follows courses delivered in English, a B1 English level (CEFR) will be recommended.
C. If the student takes courses taught in Spanish and does not have a Spanish language certification, he/ she will be required to compulsory attend an intensive Spanish course at the UVa Language Centre.
Language courses The UVa Language Centre offers Spanish courses (among other languages), which can be recognized with 3 ECTS upon presentation of the course certificate.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION
Accommodation UVa offers support to students in their search for accommodation before their arrival based on their preferences. It is recommended to use this service in order to avoid unwanted situations.
The approximate rental cost for a room in a shared flat/apartment is 250-300€ per month.
Living expenses Aprox. 350-400€/month.
Immigration procedures
A. EU citizens: they must go to the Police Station to register their stay.
B. Citizens from outside the European Union: they must contact the Spanish embassy located at their countries of residence to obtain a student visa. In case their stay is longer than 6 months, they must go to the Police Station and apply for their “Tarjeta de Identidad de Extranjero (TIE)”.
Insurance For their temporary stay in Spain, students from the EU must get the European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) before leaving their countries.
All exchange students/professors/staff visiting Universidad de Valladolid in the framework of any international mobility programme or bilateral agreement are required to have an insurance policy covering the following eventualities:
• Accident • Illness (international medical evacuation inclusive) • Repatriation in case of death • Health insurance (if not eligible for a EHIC) The students/staff will present the insurance policy upon their arrival. The mentioned policy (or its corresponding official translation) is accepted in any of the following languages:
Spanish (preferably), English, French, Italian and Portuguese.
In case they do not have an insurance policy that covers the mentioned eventualities, Universidad de Valladolid offers the possibility of contracting a policy covering their complete period of mobility, regardless of its duration.
