Trail Work Day Well Attended August 27, 2016 Story and Pictures by Larry Gones A group of 13 volunteers attended the club trail work day and spread over 45 yards of gravel along 3 miles of the Cedar Brook Trail. Emile Croteau, Trail Master from the Millsfield ATV club brought their club's 6-wheeler and hauled gravel to the woods part of the trail loaded with a tractor donated by Larry Gomes. On road section of the trail, Andy Thibodeau used his tractor to load gravel onto two flatbed trailers. Bob Heon provided a large 5th-wheel truck and trailer and Leo Couture towed a smaller 4-place snowmobile trailer with his pickup. To offload the gravel, it was all done with shovels and rakes. Volunteers include Bill Galloway, Pete Ripaldi, Ray Ripaldi, Chris O'Dea, Kevin Spottingswood, Julie Littlefield, Carol Spottiswood and Monica Heon. The crew accomplished the entire task in about 4 hours. Many of the crew had their ATV's so they headed off to Errol for a late lunch once the job was done. Our thanks go out to all of the volunteers for their help with this project. Cedar Brook Road is the club’s only woods trail and it gets very heavy traffic all year around so keeping up with the maintenance is critical. Here are some pictures from Saturday:

Trail Work Day Well Attended

August 27, 2016 Story and Pictures by Larry Gones

A group of 13 volunteers attended the club trail work day and spread over 45 yards of gravel along 3 miles of the Cedar Brook Trail.

Trail master Emile Croteau from the Millsfield ATV Club brought a six-wheeler to haul gravel to the narrower parts of the trail. Larry's John Deere tractor was used to load the gravel.

The crew all pitched in to shovel the gravel off the trailer. The unloading operation took less than 10 minutes.

While one trailer was being unloaded, the other trailer was being loaded. Here Leo Couture pulls up with the smaller trailer ready to be unloaded.
