The Ride: The Silverton train excursion takes you through some of the most breathtaking scenery Colorado has to offer. You’ll travel three and a half hours along the Animas River through valleys, canyons and forests on your way to the historic mining town of Silverton. Packages: Choose from a variety of adventure or tour packages that complement your train ride and make the most of your valuable time. Winter/spring {November ~ April} CASCADE CANYON TRAIN This five-hour round-trip journey takes you through the winter wonderland of the San Juan Mountains.
