What is Relaxation?
What exercises can be done?
Relaxation allows the individual to feel their body promoting awareness and
body perception, as well as establishing the relationship between emotions
and the body
Relaxation can be mediated through touch,
objects or self-massage, and can be performed
in different contexts. It often has a transitive,
securing and tension-regulating function
Activity 2 – Relaxation Session
Breathing Techniques
Restoring the feeling of self-control and reducing negative
physical sensations and feelings by releasing tension,
restoring energy and encouraging calmness.
Control in a stress situation, helping individuals to feel
less tense and with greater control of the situations

Objectives• Stimulate positive emotions, such as well-being, relaxation, satisfaction and joy;
• Promote relaxation, leisure and fun;
• Allow exploration, discovery, choice and opportunity to control the environment;
• Facilitate the release of stress.
It is a properly equipped room, which offers several possibilities of sensorial stimuli that
can be used individually or in combination, according to the specific needs of each
person.
