    The productivity equation

    demands a healthy balance

    between people and

    technology.

    Dr. Theodor Niehaus.

    The relentless competitive pres-

    sure in industry demands that

all stakeholders in skills in par-

    ticular manufacturing companies

    and the training organisations

    that serve them optimise their

    productivity in order to survive

    and flourish. Our training will

    improve the performance of your

    technology, your organisation

    and your people.

Festo is a global engineering and

    manufacturing company that

    maintains its own global training

    and consulting teams for both

    internal and external customers.

    Operating in the same economic

sector and climate as our cus-

    tomers, we have experience of

    the challenges and opportuni-

ties that gives us a level of un-

    derstanding and insight rare

    among training providers. We

    practice what we teach.

    Whether a public course or

    customised in-house course, our

    training is competency-based in

    order to

    ensure the benefits for each

    stakeholder are clear

    provide the before and

    after snapshots of skills

    essential to measure improve-

ment and make the return on

    investment transparent

    complement the competency

    matrix approach to improving

    individual and team perfor-

    mance

foster a will to achieve in

    both trainer and trainees

    provide orientation and a

    resulting sense of achieve-

    ment

    To effectively synchronise the

    contents and aims of in-house

    courses with your business

    objectives, we can conduct a

    comprehensive analysis about

the training needs of your em-

    ployees. On completion of the

    analysis, you receive a detailed

    report about the current knowl-

    edge levels of your employees

    and a competence development

    plan which addresses the key

    business aims.

The training is not only the

    traditional one-time, face-to-face

training you might expect. It is

    available as web-based training

    (WBT) or as blended learning,

    a customised mix of face-to-face

and WBT to fit your training and

    logistical needs. Lastly there is

a solution that is a mix of these

with a project for the improve-

ment of a KPI on the shop-floor.

We would be pleased to offer

    you our training support and

hope that this catalogue will be

    a first step towards successful

    training and your increased

    productivity.

    Getting exactly the right training

    With our training formats

    and services we can respond

    flexibly to meet your needs

    The training format whether

    public or in-house, a course,

    workshop, best-practice event

    or corporate strategy games

the focus is always on first-hand

    experience. In both public and

    customised training, the out-

    comes are transparent to all

    stakeholders, and allow them to

    track progress towards achiev-

    ing the required competencies.

Rapid transfer to daily practice is

a key quality criterion we help

    you to measure and optimise

    this.

    Standard training

    In public course, a predefined

    set of competencies are trans-

    ferred. Approximately 42,000

    course participants attend

over nearly 3,000 of our public

    courses worldwide every year.

    Our trainers deliver modular

    and quality-assured training

    in 39 languages.

    Customised training

    There are three levels to

    customised training:

    Customised coursed designed

    to achieve agreed outcomes are

    generally in-house to provide

    customers with a greater focus

    on the requirements of their

    business, increased flexibility

    and reduced expenses, often

with the advantage of no travel

    for participants.

If you are not sure which skills

profile a team needs, our Train-

    ing Needs Analysis (TNA) will

identify the skills and audit cur-

    rent skills in a report.

    To optimise transfer, a Post

Course Review can be run a few

    weeks after training this audits

    the upgraded skills set against

    the original profile.

    Competence development projects

    If your customised training

exceeds the scope of a single

    course, qualification programs

    can be established. These com-

    prise several courses with time

    between that allow transfer to

    the workplace and integrati
