Traktionssysteme Austria is an Austrian company

based in a location with a long tradition. Reliable

and highly efficient traction drives which are in

use on every continent in the world have been

produced in the former Brown Boveri plant in

Wiener Neudorf for over 50 years.

Our product portfolio includes liquid and

air-cooled traction motors, traction generators

and traction gears for all uses of rail-borne and

road-borne, electric vehicles. We have also

expanded our range of services by synchronous

machines with permanent magnets. We will

develop traction drives specifically for your

requirements and also accept responsibility

for the complete unit – comprising motor

and gears.

The quality and safety of our products and the

protection of our employees and the environment

are paramount in all our activities. This basic

principle is an important pillar of our corporate

guidelines. We improve our workflows by efficiently

monitoring and controlling our measured variables

and the information gained from them. Similarly,

we also subject the quality management system

to constant and critical assessment and expansion

which we document by certification in accordance

with the International Railway Industry Standard (IRIS).

of traction drives, our employees are the key

All the essential production steps for the manufacture of

our products take place in our production facility. One of our

key areas in technical production is the mechanical machining of the

traction drive’s components. CNC-controlled machining equipment

enables us to machine large complex parts. However, we also

have access to all types of conventional fabrication processes,

such as are necessary for the construction of prototypes,

enabling us to meet our customers’ every requirement.

We don’t have to buy in any skills for our business. We have them all in-house.

Our company’s added value chain is completed

by maintenance and repair of the drives that we have built.

Intelligent maintenance and service concepts with

spare parts management, guaranteed lead times

and diagnostic reports about the drive’s technical condition:

this is our idea of a comprehensive after-sales service

over the entire product life cycle.

determination of geometrically complex components. Function and performance tests on

motors and gears as well as sound and vibration measurements ensure that our drives comply

with all structural and production requirements.

in the technology of traction motors. We develop solutions to meet
