Each August incoming studentsreceive Georgia Tech caps as
first-year-at-Tech mementos.
TACKLE TECHNOLOGY.
At Georgia Tech, developing leaders who advance technology and improve the human condition has been at our heart since our 1885 beginnings in Midtown Atlanta – and so has school spirit.
TREASURE TRADITION.
No matter your interest, at Georgia Tech you’ll find it. From A Capella to Zeta Tau Alpha, the Yellow Jacket community offers hundreds of clubs, societies, and every imaginable group in between.

Connecting to community is an essential part of your college experience. We’ll make it easy
for you through student organization events like this one hosted on Tech Green.
Woodruff Arts CenterOne of the largest arts venues in the U.S.
Our proximity to economic opportunity — being at the center of Midtown’s startup scene and neighbor to endless major corporations — is just one of the advantages of Tech’s Atlanta location. Equally important is that whether you’re in search of a big city vibe, or you’re more about that simple, affordable (think almost-free and totally free) fun, Georgia Tech offers the ideal base.
Atlanta BeltLine A loop of multi-use trails that connects the city.
National Center for Civil and Human Rights One of Atlanta’s main cultural attractions.
Georgia AquariumThe world’s largest aquarium.
Mercedes-Benz Stadium Entertainment venue and home to the Atlanta Falcons.
EXPLORE THE CITY
Atlanta Streets Alive is an open streets project where many Tech students, like Kirtain, Inika, Grace, and Madison, use the opportunity to freely explore the city.
Piedmont Park Atlanta’s biggest city park.
Ponce City Market Chic food hall with Atlanta’s premier rooftop experience.
Six Flags Over Georgia A 290-acre adventure theme park.

At Tech, learning goes far beyond the classroom — just ask any of the InVenture Prize contestants; they’ll rave about being able to showcase their innovations on live TV. Or the CREATE-X participants; they’ll go on about how that program exposed them to startup concepts and helped them successfully launch into the marketplace.
Something else you’ll hear lots about is those awesome internships and co-ops around the corner in Tech Square, our innovation ecosystem where dream-come-true opportunities are invented every day.
BUILD YOUR BASE
700+ businesses and organizations employ Tech co-op students and interns each year.
3,400+ students participate in undergraduate research each year.
At just 23, Connor Ford is the co-founder and CEO of Spirit, an app he developed to
help high schools engage and reward their students. He has since been able to parlay his
success with high schools into an expanded business that now helps corporations with
employee engagement. He credits the faculty and coursework from his time as a business
major at Tech as being key tohelping him grow his company.
The InVenture Prize at Georgia Tech is a faculty-led innovation competition for undergraduate students and recent Georgia Tech bachelor’s graduates.
