Transferring user prefs from 2015 to 2016
The first step is to export the 2015 preference sets 1) Click the radio button located at the top right screen and select Export Preference Set 2) Save the PrefSet.aps file at a particular location

Copy this PrefSet.aps file in the Preference Sets folder of Alias 2016 ie
C:\Users\guptasa\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\Alias\UserPrefs2016\Preference_Sets

Important is the generation of this PrefSet.aps file as it contains the following components - Shelves ,Marking Menus , User Options ,Colors ,General Preferences Hotkeys ,Workflows & Menus ,Construction Options .

The second step is to import the preference sets in Alias 2016
1) Launch the Alias 2016 software2) Click the radio button located at the top right screen and select Import Preference Set 3) Scroll the PrefSet.aps file as saved in the ../UserPref2016/PreferenceSet folder 4) Go to file menu -> Preference -> Save
