An occas ional b ird peck or gum spot wi l l be found in some pieces which enhance Cherry ’s d ist inct character. Unique in i ts photo sen-s i t iv i ty, Cherry ’s reddish color deepens with age to warm, dark brown hue.

Wood TypesMapleThe value of Maple is i ts strength, wear res istance, and beauty. Maple is a wood that i s evenly textured with a natural luster. Whi le the gra in is usual ly stra ight , i t can a lso appear wavy or cur ly. Decora-t ive growth patterns can be found in Maple such as , b i rd’s-eye, maple bur l , leaf and f iddle back. These character ist ics of maple add to i ts h ighly pr ized beauty and luster.

Paint Grade MapleThis wood combines the strength of maple in i ts st i les and ra i ls and Medium Density F iberboard (MDF) in the center panel which is comprised of res ins and wood f ibers . Because minimal d imension var iat ions occur, the stabi l i ty of MDF a l low for rout-ing and shaping. MDF wi l l not be sta ined, but i t i s an ideal substrate for painted surfaces. This hybr id door provides super ior paint adhesion and appear-ance.
