Summons courage to tell her that he “likes” her.

They walk to school holding hands.

Howie learns that even close friends can’t read your mind. You need to tell them how you feel about them.

Student can’t find the right words to write in the note / email.

Puts the note in the wrong locker / school bag / desk.

Student tries to get the note back, but it’s too late. Other student finds the note. Reads it and is excited to go to the dance.

Alternate ending: student rejects the invite to the dance BUT there’s another student who sees this and ASKS that student to the dance.
