S-Term Schedule
• Session 1: June 16 – July 10– Set up day is June 13
• three, two hour classes• Teachers are paid for 7 hours, teach 6• Students will earn elective high school credit
Purpose of Class
• Ease students transition from middle to high school
• Build a community
• Prepare students for the challenges of high school
Course Description
• Goals for the course• Community building• Setting goals• Time management• Life goals• Getting to know the school• Note taking
Other Components
• Wilderness Inquiry– Outdoor exploration– Dates: June 20, June 27, June 30
• Crossfi– Monday through Thursday for 30 minutes, rotating
schedule
Teachers must accompany their class
Table Talk
• What do middle school students need to know about high school?
• How have you built community within your classroom?
Supplies• Student workbook will
be photo copied and sent to schools
• Every class will have chart paper and markers
• Other basic supplies• Unused materials
become the schools
