Welcome Class of 2020! The PHS teachers and staff are looking forward to your first day at Parkville High School. We hope your summer was enjoyable and you are returning to school rejuvenated. You are the first BCPS students to participate in an Early Entry day- a “sneak peek” at your new school. Our hope is your early introductions to PHS staff members and tour of the building helps ease anxieties related to the first day. As you adjust to being a Parkville Knight, please ask questions and utilize the numerous resources within the building to support you!
As your administrator, one of my roles is to hold each of you accountable for making good decisions. More importantly, I am tasked with advocating for your needs. I encourage you to communicate if you are struggling academically or think you are ready for a more challenging placement (ie., Honors or GT). Our goal is for you to be challenged but not overwhelmed.
Please seek opportunities to be involved in the school community. My goal is for each of you to participate in at least one extracurricular activity! This fall, we will be sharing information about clubs and activities at PHS.
I look forward to the opportunity to meet each of you! We are … Class of 2020.
