The Duo’s TipsDo keep track of the questions and answers that arise

during the project. Our duo compiled a Q&A which was shared with both departments and which has become a handy reference.

Do keep track of the ‘exceptions’ that are discovered; add them to the Q&A document.

Don’t revert to your past behaviors once the project is done. We slipped a few times, making decisions independently when they should have been made jointly.

Do consciously communicate more, after your project is done. Set up recurring meetings and don’t cancel them.

Accept that one department may end up taking on more tasks, as part of reducing the overall work effort.

My direction for 2014 and 2015…Be transparent and accountable.

Expect public display of information.

Collaborate more.Be strong and courageous; if it were easy it

would already be done.

Foster commonality.Relinquish nostalgia accounting.
