Definition of a Tank Vehicle

• The Question: How do the physical properties of Intermediate Bulk Containers (IBCs) compare with traditional tank trucks and what are the safety impacts?

• The Context: FMCSA recently revised the definition of a tank vehicle to include IBCs whose aggregate capacity is 1,000 lbs or greater.
