Beware...The above list is not a definitive list of restricted items and some other products may also be considered as Dangerous Goods. Remember that it is the shipper’s responsibility to classify the products presented to TNT for carriage (if considered dangerous for transport) in accordance with International Air Transport Association (IATA) Regulations.

It’s the law...You must declare your dangerous/hazardous materials to any airline, handling agent, forwarder or courier service. As TNT utilises all modes of transport then you are obliged by law to advise us of the nature and type of goods oered for transport. You are also required by law, to ensure persons preparing goods for transport by air, are trained in an accredited “dangerous goods by air” course. The handling of Dangerous Goods is strictly controlled by international law and individuals or companies found to be in violation of the regulations may be prosecuted.

TNT is obligated under international law to advise the regulatory authorities of any shipper found to be shipping in contravention of these regulations.

Please contact your local Department of Transport or TNT oce

(phone 13 11 50 and ask to speak to the Dangerous Goods

Advisor) if you have any doubts, questions or concerns about this vitally important subject.

Biological Substances Cat B: Under the same laws they must also be properly declared, packaged and presented correctly for carriage.

Plan ahead...Please feel free to discuss the Dangerous Goods regulations with your local TNT representative and we will be happy to advise you about your obligations when using our service. Remember it is your responsibility to ensure all Dangerous Goods consignments are properly declared, packaged and presented correctly for carriage.

TNT does not accept Dangerous Goods without prior agreement and all consignments are carried subject to contract and TNT limitations of carriage, which will be provided on request. TNT reserves the right to refuse any consignment that is deemed by us to contain Dangerous Goods.

Remember... you must also declare your consignment if the goods are considered to be dangerous for road or marine transport.
