NEW ORLEANS & LOUISIANNA PLANTATIONSMonday-Thursday, September 10-13

We’ve had many requests to return to this compelling and complicated American icon and it’s time to go back. Back to Cajun spices and foot-tapping jazz — back to antebellum elegance and beignets by the bayou, all in all no city in the world holds the tantalizing keys of New Orleans. Our exploration begins with our early morning flight to the Crescent City, followed by a motorcoach city tour and walking tour of the FRENCH QUARTER. We’ll share a sensa-tional lunch at the world famous COURT OF TWO SISTERS before a little time on our own to explore the city where hurricanes are knock-out drinks and not just a forecast. The next day we head out of town to explore the CAJUN SWAMPS with a morning SWAMP TOUR & LUNCH at THE BIJOU BARN. Back in town we end the day at BLAINE KERN’S MARDI GRAS WORLD where we learn the process of putting together the heady, neon delights that become Mardi Gras floats. Our third day takes us out of the city for our guided tours of two of the South’s most historic and photographed icons — OAK ALLEY & LAURA PLANTATIONS,

but not before a visit to the historic NA-TIONAL WW II MUSEUM. It wouldn’t be a trip to New Orleans without BREAKFAST AT BRENNANS so before heading to the airport we’ll dine as if calories don’t count. And with overnight accommodations just steps from the heart of the French Quarter at the historic boutique HOTEL LE MARAIS, we’ll be easy walking distance from the jazz, drinks and dynamic energy that is the heart of the city. There are few cities so unique, so historic, so diverse and so destined for dining delights — please come along and feast with us on this sensational Southern destination.TOUR PACKAGE: Includes round-trip airfare; deluxe motorcoach transportation in New Orleans; 3 nights overnight accom-modation; porterage of 1 bag; all attractions and tours as listed above; 7 meals; taxes and gratuities. STRATFORD THEATRE FESTIVAL — ONTARIO, CANADAWednesday-Sunday, July 25-29

From the timeless plays of Shakespeare to popular, modern classics the Stratford Fes-tival offers a matchless variety of entertain-ment. After overnighting enroute to Canada with our friends at the Livonia Embassy Suites we head onto Stratford where we share performances of classic favorites and new theater experiences including: MUSIC MAN —a charming but fraudulent salesman arrives in River City to work his usual scam only to find a bill of goods can be the real thing. ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW — the longest running movie event in history leaps to the stage in campy fashion. Fishnets have claimed the stage for over 40 years and now this brilliant pastiche of B movie acclaim troops into the land of Shakespeare. The irresistible rock and roll score invites you to shed inhibitions and ‘toast’ your wildest dreams. IDEAL HUSBAND is Oscar Wilde’s classy and sassy view of a bachelor extraor-dinaire whose friend lies under the weight of secrets and blackmail in the political world of Victorian England. Our final selection is the classic TO KILL A MOCKING BIRD where justice is pitted against bigotry inspiring a young daughter’s belief in moral courage and truth despite a world of hatred and lies.

We have as always included a PRIVATE, POST SHOW DISCUSSION with actors from one of our plays, as well as a guided behind-the-scenes tour of the COSTUME & PROPS WAREHOUSE with its ARCHIVES section. This year’s visit coincides with the acclaimed STRATFORD SUMMER MU-SIC FESTAIVAL, a series of ticketed and free concerts you may choose to add to your calendar of events. Our accommodation in Stratford will again be at the deluxe Arden Park Hotel. All theater tickets are promised A+ Orchestra seating. TOUR PACKAGE: Includes deluxe motorcoach transportation; all overnight accommodations; all plays and tours listed above (Orchestra A+ seating); 6 meals; bag-gage handling of 1 piece of luggage; taxes and gratuities. a very special way. In one of the country’s finest outdoor events, over 3.5 million lights illuminate the mill, the gorge, the riverbanks, trees and bridges. And don’t forget the knee high miniature village, Santa collection and 100 ft. ‘waterfall’ of lights. Every 15 minutes there is a music and light serenade for all to enjoy. A new tour from MKL you won’t want to miss! If you haven’t heard of the JACK-O-LANTERN SPECTACULAR that has fast become a Louisville area tradition you are missing a truly remarkable experience. This event was voted the “#1 Halloween Event in the Country” by Country Living Magazine. You will be staggered speechless by the 5,000 professionally carved Jack-O-Lanterns that decorate in wild abundance a 1/4-mile woodland trail in Louisville’s Iroquois Park. More than 30 artists from around the country spend the month in Louisville carving thousands of pumpkins. Each year there is a theme guiding the artists to carve people, places and things easily recognizable to those walking the path. It can take anywhere from 6-14 hours to carve just one pumpkin, making this an all

the more incredible effort. And best of all, proceeds go to benefit the Louisville Parks Foundation. But before we are entertained by the artistry of the pumpkins we explore another famous haunt of Louisville — the historic and elegant BROWN HOTEL. Our visit starts with a historic treat created by the Brown’s drinkologist and includes a special presentation by the hotel’s historian. As our after dinner pumpkin peaking will end too late for a reasonable journey back to the Queen City we’ll overnight in Louisville, heading the next morning to LAGRANGE, KY. Here we’ll be joined by a local guide to show us the highlights of this quaint and historic little town, including a ghost walk in the comforting light of day. A chance to wander the shops and cafes of LaGrange with time to grab a bite of lunch is

included before heading back home. Gone roughly 24 hours, we promise memories that will surround you for months.TOUR INCLUDES: Deluxe motorcoach transportation; admission to Jack-O-Lan-tern Spectacular; guided tour and dinner at the Brown; overnight accommodations; 2 meals; step-on guide services in La-Grange; taxes and gratuities.Reservations due June 30.COST: $ 273 per person DOUBLE occupancy $ 313 per person SINGLE occupancy

CHRISTMAS AT BILTMORE ESTATEWednesday-Friday, November 28-30

Christmas at Biltmore Estate is guaranteed to delight and astound. Over a century ago the Vanderbilt’s chose the Christmas holi-days to first open their home to their friends and we hope to share that same experi-ence with you. The home is festooned with elaborate floral arrangements and beautiful glass blown ornaments all wrapped in the aromas of the season emanating from the lower floor’s kitchens. We’ll explore the

home in a specially arranged BEHIND-THE-SCENES TOUR followed by a fabu-lous holiday luncheon buffet at the estate’s DEER PARK RESTAURANT. The estate is transformed by the glow of fireplaces and candles while our approach is lighted with the flutter of dozens of luminar-ies. Musicians playing chamber music in the library and choirs singing in the Conserva-tory— these are the memories Biltmore leaves with her holiday guests. Christmas at the SMITH MCDOWELL HOUSE. Enroute to Asheville we enjoy lunch at the historic BOONE TAVERN in Berea, KY and while in Asheville a pre-Candlelight dinner at the incomparable GROVE PARK INN, home to the Food Network’s National Gingerbread competi-tion. 6TH ANNUAL HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS: INDY STYLE Friday, December 7Due to the overwhelming success of the last five years’ holiday visits we’re headed back! With the city center’s Monument Circle turned into the world’s largest Christmas tree this is indeed a city that knows how to celebrate. We’ll begin with private club privileges as we enjoy lunch overlooking the Indianapolis skyline at the SKYLINE CLUB in downtown. Then

onto the Hilbert Circle Theater and the Indianapolis Symphony matinee perfor-mance of a YULETIDE CELEBRATION, the nation’s largest of it’s kind. Truly a remarkable performance attracting thou-sands from the region to this elaborate and uplifting holiday celebration each year. As we leave the theater over 42,000 lights and 6 miles of garland adorn the city center

Soldiers and Sailors Monument and after a last sigh we’ll head home through the December dusk.TOUR PACKAGE: All inclusive includ-ing deluxe motorcoach transportation; main floor Orchestra seats for symphony, lunch; taxes and gratuities. Reservations due April 30.COST: $120 per person

LIGHTS UNDER LOUISVILLE/ GLASS WORKS/ AND A BROWN HOTEL CHRISTMASWednesday, December 12

This newest itinerary shows off the very special holiday celebration of our nearby neighbor of Louisville. First we’ll visit the elegant Victorian home that is the CONRAD-CALDWELL home decorated gaily for the holiday. Before our guided tour we’ll be treated to the light refreshments of a holiday tea. Then onto the MARK PEYTON GLASS CENTER where we create our own glass ornament memento to commemorate the sea-son. Swinging onto the historic and elegantly

decorated BROWN HOTEL we are treated to a late afternoon holiday dinner before head-ing to the city’s southern side and MEGA CAVERN’S holiday spectacular LIGHTS UNDER LOUISVILLE. It brags to be the ‘only underground light show of its kind on the planet.’ Large enough for a motorcoach we’ll slowly travel through underground pas-sageways, amazed at over 850 lit characters with over 2 million points of light. There is much to be proud of and much to enjoy as

our friends down river light up the holidays.TOUR PACKAGE: All inclusive including deluxe motorcoach transportation; holiday tea & dinner; admission to all attractions listed above; glass ornament project; taxes and gratuities. Reservations due May 30.COST: $120 per person
