Cascading waterfalls

A source of fresh water;

this island is habitable …

Evidence exists… man was here…once.

This dinghy testifies to man’s presence… once, and perhaps still.

Trees on the sand…

Hints of man’s activities

Others have rested here…

As foaming waves crashed the shore

And lulled man to sleep

Dead coral rests

Near clams aplenty

Waiting for the taking

The sea’s secrets… life and

food for the taking

Existing as a Source of Food

And life…with giant mantas

Hawkfish blend in a sand fan

gifts live within the conch shell

Another foodstuff…coconuts

Or picnic treasures left to share

The skeleton of a lost ship alerts the adventurers… man’s been here.

He saw the sun set

And dawn return

And while his treasures slept

Secured and hidden

He played…

and prayed…

Waiting for a ship

Hoping for help

known only to God

Perhaps dreading the treasure seekers

and what they might bring
