The work involves reconcilingclient accounts and presenting the informationon a multi level format consisting ofdrawdown's, distributions, commitments, Profit& Loss and Fair market value. Client wanted allthe prior year transactions to be reconciled toensure accuracy and also undertakereconciliation on an ongoing basis in aconsistent, reliable and cost efficient manner

The ChallengeThe Client’s bill collectors normally collected paymentsfrom customers (cash /check) and were issuing manualreceipts. When the receipts were accounted, these wereapplied against invoices on FIFO basis leading toproblems in reconciliation of customer accounts. Thisoften lead to arguments between the client’s sales,collection and the accounting team. There also existed apossibility of pilferage / loss of money collected in cash /check

Client RequirementThe Client wanted to establish a proper flow ofinformation between collectors, accountant and the salesteam. They were focused on accounting the receiptsproperly and ensuring a proper system of follow up onuncollected money. They also wanted to ensure that themanual receipts were not misused and the moneycollected flows to the company coffers without loss oftime and information. The Client is on a Tier 1 ERPplatform
