R K Vasan ‐ Director & CEO Over 20 years of experience in Accounting and Finance ina wide spectrum of industries including retail, manufacturing and wealthmanagement. He was involved in floatation of Jarir Marketing Ltd., a Saudi Joint StockCompany, including the merger of its retail and wholesale operations, induction ofnew shareholders through Private Placement and subsequently in its listing in theSaudi Stock Exchange. He has exposure to investment analysis and due diligence ofhedge and private equity funds and experience in asset allocation and portfoliomanagement. He is a Physics graduate from Madras University and a qualifiedChartered Accountant(CA), Cost Accountant ( ICWA) & Company Secretary (CS)

S N Sampath Chandra – Director & Business Head, HR Sampath has over 25 years ofexperience in sales, marketing and HR. He has held senior positions in Coca Cola andthe Parle Group in both India and Nigeria. Sampath has an MBA from BangaloreUniversity

R Parthasarathy – Manager, Projects Over 12 years of experience in the field ofAuditing, Enterprise Risk Assurance, Accounting and Finance. Arunthavanathan Shanthini ‐ Team‐Lead (Operations) Over 5 years of experience inaccounting, audit and enterprise risk assurance, having worked in companies likeKPMG, Sri Lanka and Deloitte, India. She is a graduate in Science from the Universityof Colombo and a member of the Association of Chartered Accountants, UK (ACCA)and a finalist of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, UK (CIMA). Shehas also done her Diploma in HR Management and Computer Science.

Tirtha Brata Panda – Vice‐President, Business Development Over 12 years ofexperience in Sales, Marketing and Business Development. He is a graduate in Science(B.Sc) from Orissa University of Agriculture & Technology, Bhubaneswar (India) andalso a graduate in Law (LL.B) from Utkal University, Bhubaneswar (India). He has alsodone his Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management with specialization inMarketing from Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar (India). The client wanted to reconcile the accounts forover 60+ private equity funds covering a periodof over 8 years. The work involves reconcilingclient accounts and presenting the informationon a multi level format consisting ofdrawdown's, distributions, commitments, Profit& Loss and Fair market value. Client wanted allthe prior year transactions to be reconciled toensure accuracy and also undertakereconciliation on an ongoing basis in aconsistent, reliable and cost efficient manner

Case Study: Process redesign


The ChallengeThe Client’s bill collectors normally collected paymentsfrom customers (cash /check) and were issuing manualreceipts. When the receipts were accounted, these wereapplied against invoices on FIFO basis leading toproblems in reconciliation of customer accounts. Thisoften lead to arguments between the client’s sales,collection and the accounting team. There also existed apossibility of pilferage / loss of money collected in cash /check

Client RequirementThe Client wanted to establish a proper flow ofinformation between collectors, accountant and the salesteam. They were focused on accounting the receiptsproperly and ensuring a proper system of follow up onuncollected money. They also wanted to ensure that themanual receipts were not misused and the moneycollected flows to the company coffers without loss oftime and information. The Client is on a Tier 1 ERPplatform
