Why Should We Share? Why Should We Share?

We all seem to be disseminating the same type of information.• Consistency is the key….

We all have different reasons for needing and using the data• Need to have the most up-to-date and accurate

RFC OR WFO – Which is the official forecast?• Currently assumed to be WFO

• WFO puts out daily - RFC puts out 6-hr incremental forecasts

Forecast Data From WFO• Would Like All Information put out in Hydrologic Statement

Rating Curves• Difficult to track changes and adjustments

How about a field called DATETIME_CREATED that will have the date of last change

How about just update the individual Rating Curves as changes are made

• Need instruction on how to find date changed and apply shifts # //RATING_DATETIME BEGIN=20041001000000 BZONE=CDT END=20050930235959 EZONE=CDT AGING=A # //RATING_DATETIME BEGIN=20051001000000 BZONE=CDT END=23821230180000 EZONE=CST AGING=W # //SHIFT_PREV BEGIN="20061005091500" BZONE="CDT" END="--------------" EZONE="---“

# //SHIFT_PREV STAGE1="1.00" SHIFT1="0.25" STAGE2="4.00" SHIFT2="0.00" # //SHIFT_PREV COMMENT="hold avg.shift"

• The national site is great but still relatively new… Can we get more focus on its improvement Continued support and enhancement will provide benefits to both USACE and

NWS
