Lorraine (Lorry) Adelson BlathClass of '64

Occupation: see below --

Family: My adult children, 42 and 40, and my 3 grandchildren, 17, 15, 12, bring us joy!

Interests: Golf, walking, movies, cooking, reading, knitting and mostly family and friends

Biography / Memorable Life Experiences: After Miami University, my husband Richard and I have mostly lived in suburban St. Louis. We spent a couple of years in Nashville and Dayton (Wright Patterson AFB). I’ve dabbled in several professions over the years: inner city high school teacher, needlepoint designer, catering company owner, short story writer; and currently: scientific grant reviewer, collaborator on research grants, and volunteer. I really enjoy creative cooking, if only someone would trail me and cleanup!We strive to keep up with our grandchildren on skis, shooting hoops, horseback, hiking, singing, and playing cards.

Robert Ault Class of '64

Occupation: Tax Attorney, retired

Biography / Memorable Life Experiences: Bachelor degree from WV University 1968. Law Degree from Univ. of Michigan 1974. Established own legal practice in Washington, DC in 1975 which I recently sold.

Carole Adams Class of '64

Occupation: Consultant in federal procurement

Family: My two brothers and their families are all in the Wheeling area.

Interests: Like to travel, read, and enjoy outdoor activities on my farm.

Biography / Memorable Life Experiences: Really enjoying life now! My schedule is my own, all those mandatory things in life (except taxes) are behind me and I'm just enjoying every day! Some of my most memorable experiences are completing my doctorate at Ohio State, attending football games in "the 'shoe" and traveling throughout the US and the world. Life is good and I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone at the reunion.

James (Jim) Ault Class of '64

Biography / Memorable Life Experiences: Joined the Air Force after THS, and was on active duty for over 14 years. I was an AC&W long range radar tech for 10 years (mostly mountain tops on small installations) and then a B-52G Defensive Aerial Gunner for 4 years. I was stationed in Texas, Mississippi, Oregon, Nevada, Alaska, Virginia, California, and Louisiana. After the Air Force, my wife and I moved to San Jose, CA (Silicon Valley) where I worked in the electronics industry for 21 years. In 2000, the company I worked for moved us to Phoenix, AZ and I retired in 2008. I married Kathy in 1975 and our daughter was born in 1979.

Biography / Memorable Life Experiences: I’ve been married 45 years. Mort and I enjoy traveling, often to see our kids. Before Mort retired, we owned men’s and ladies’ clothing stores in Steubenville, Myer & Stone and Denmark’s. I retired after many years of teaching at Tillotson School in Pittsburgh; I still enjoy visiting the school to volunteer with various art projects. I have a retail business in Steubenville, where I sell vintage jewelry, collectables, and toys, many of which I find on my frequent buying trips to Los Angeles and New York. I enjoy working with underprivileged children through local organizations. Life is good!

Carol Bell Class of '64

Interests: Family History, Genetic Genealogy (DNA), Travel, and all things Scottish

Biography / Memorable Life Experiences: Graduated from WVU in 1968 with a BS in Medical Technology - was a med tech at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in DC - moved to Atlanta in 1976, took more chemistry and math courses, then worked at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as a chemist and a liaison between CDC and over 500 newborn screening clinical labs around the world for 34 years - retired in 2012 - left science behind to pursue my family history passion - published one genealogy book, so far - am a member of several history, genealogy, and preservation organizations - live in Atlanta and Wheeling.

Barbara (Barb) Bailey Class of '64

Occupation: Barb Bailey Entertainment

Family: NO CHILDREN! Still friends with my ex husbands! (so sweet)

Interests: Love to write shows for some of my Artists' concerts. Love movies, dinners,vodka

Biography / Memorable Life Experiences: I graduated from MSU in English & moved to Chicago. Was Music Rep for Producer Bobby Whiteside out of Universal Recording Studio. In 1986 I moved to LA, became Music Agent for Producer Dick Marx @ Sunset Sound in Hollywood. When he died I moved to Chicago, took a hiatus in music & sold real estate on the Gold Coast. Music beckoned again & I launched the music division of Lily's Talent Agency as Senior Agent. In 2008 I opened Barb Bailey Entertainment which is my Music Artist Management & Booking Agency. I represent Jazz, Pop, Rock, Classical & R&B Artists I also produce concerts for my clients

James (Jim) Bankey Class of '64

Occupation: Financial Analysist, Controller, Retired

Family: Wife Judy sons Jeffery and Jamie. Each son has two daughters.

Interests: Traveling, exercising, reading, grandchildren, certain television shows.

Biography / Memorable Life Experiences: 4 years in Air Force after High School. BS degree in Finance. These days we enjoy going to Sandals in Jamaica, Antigua, and St Lucia. Also we have been to California, Hawaii, England, France, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, Greece, and Italy. Older son (Jeff) went to Ohio State and finished in 1990 with a degree in Accounting. Younger son (Jamie) got his degree in Mech. Engineering from West Point in 1992. He then served five years in the Army and got out in 1997 as a Captain.

Biography / Memorable Life Experiences: Married in 1964. Went to Beauty School with THS classmate Sally Gary. Lived in Moundsville most of my life. Bill Estep, another THS classmate, is my neighbor.

Anne Brown LambClass of '64

Occupation: Part-time at Antiques on the Mall

Family: Son, Chris, now 40 years old and two grandchildren; Nathan 12 and Kaitlyn, 10.

Interests: Antiques, "Flow Blue" from Wheeling Pottery, and glass by Wheeling Central Glass

Biography / Memorable Life Experiences: WOW, how time flies by! Can we all really be this old?? So glad we don't feel our age, at least most of the time. It's good to see some of my classmates when they stop by Antiques on the Mall where I've worked a couple of days a week for 20 years. My grandchildren are country kids and I am their city grandma, known as "Grannie Annie". Other than the loss of my daughter, Betsy, when she was 18, life is pretty good. Looking forward to seeing everyone and partying!

Biography / Memorable Life Experiences: After high school went on to become a registered nurse at the OVGH. After working for years, went back to school for my BSN. Still working 2 days a week. Travel as often as I can, enjoying life and being with family and friends.

Biography / Memorable Life Experiences: Ronn: 31 years active duty Navy, BS Health Care Administration, 10 years as Emergency Medicine Administrator Beaufort, SC post active duty. Carol: 25 years US Civil Service retiring from NCIS (Naval Criminal Investigative Service). Kyle: PhD in Chemical Eng., Ceramic Eng., Materials Sciences. Professor at Clemson Univ., SC. Our family has lived, worked, and become educated in 5 foreign countries and seven states. We feel blessed to have experienced such a variety of cultures and lifestyles over the years. We have lived in Beaufort, SC since 1993.

Biography / Memorable Life Experiences: Got married when I was 51 (1997); moved a church congregation from one location to another in 2008 because our sanctuary was sinking into the abyss; still working as a Presbyterian minister at the Warwood Presbyterian Church in Wheeling and probably will retire sometime in 2015.

Biography / Memorable Life Experiences: Graduated from Cornell in'68; Started law school @ WVU but got drafted & spent 4 years as an officer in the Coast Guard as Port Security Officer and Search & Rescue Coordinator; finished law school in '75. Have practiced law in Wheeling ever since. Memorable experiences: The night I met my wife & fell in love at 1st sight; 1997 3-week Cornell study tour of China; 2001 one week in Cuba for a criminal law symposium; 1997 one of my cases was featured on CBS's "48 Hours"

Allen (Bruce) Campbell Class of '64

Occupation: Retired

Family: 3 sons and 6 grandchildren

Interests: Bicycling, playing the guitar, and motorcycling

Biography / Memorable Life Experiences: Graduated from WLSC in 1969, was married, spent four years in US Air Force, worked in sales and management for about 15 years, then worked as a Child Protective Service Worker for eleven years for WV Dept. of Health and Human Resources, then became a trainer for the same organization for the next ten years. I retired from that agency in 2009. I have three sons and six grandchilden. Have been with my companion, Darlene Ondrick, since 1990. We enjoy cycling, listening to live music, camping at our pond in eastern Ohio, wintering in Florida, and volunteering at state parks there.

Calvin (Dwaine) Butts Class of '64

Biography / Memorable Life Experiences: Earned a BA in English from West Liberty State College. Was in the Air Force. Got married at age 40. Sold insurance, drove a school bus for 18 years. Celebrating my birthday at the Friday reunion event at Generations!

Susan (Susie) Byrum WhiteClass of '64

Occupation: Retired teacher

Family: Spouse Tom; Daughter Jacey (& spouse Daniel Gibbons); Granddaughter Lydia, 8

Interests: Reading, hiking, bicycling, kayaking, snowshoeing, camping, traveling

Biography / Memorable Life Experiences: Moved to Maine in 2006 when our granddaughter was born there. Maine has been a great adventure and we have loved exploring every corner of it and sharing it with our visitors. Leaving Maine in November to travel America for the next year.

Biography / Memorable Life Experiences: My husband spent 22 years in the USMC. We raised our two sons during that time. We both then worked for Franklin County in Columbus, OH, Bob as a court officer and I was a receptionist for the Prosecuting Attorney's office until we both retired in 2008. We love to travel, and some of our memorable ones are a two-week cruise to Alaska & Hawaii, traveling the Oregon Coast and many of our beautiful National Parks and also a bus trip to the Canadian Rockies and Glacier National Park.

Ronald (Ron) Carmichael Class of '64

Biography / Memorable Life Experiences: January 1965 joined US Air Force. March 1965 married Shirley Schell (from West Liberty). We have a daughter Dana & twin boys Ronald Jr. & Robert. Returned to West Virginia Oct 1968. Worked construction for several years; then in Jan 1972, I went to work for Hancock County Schools as an Electrician. In Oct 1977, we built our home near Chester, WV. In Sept 2002, I retired. Went back to work as a sub, then in 2014 retired for good. I keep myself busy around the house and helping my neighbors.

Biography / Memorable Life Experiences: Traveled all over the world with my husband, Phil, now a retired US Army Colonel. I did work for the State Department at two US Embassies in Greece & Macedonia.

Biography / Memorable Life Experiences: Since graduating from college, I have worked in the technology area for Texas Instruments and Dell for 46 years. We have moved around a bit with work including Dallas and Austin Texas, Johnson City Tennessee, and Phoenix Arizona. Work also requires extensive weekly travel. This includes three years in Los Angeles and Sacramento and ten years in Boston.

Biography / Memorable Life Experiences: Taught Ohio County, Tyler County, then 28 years in Barbour County, WV. Lived on 50 acre farm enjoying fabulous mountain views. Traumatic event of falling off a trails from rails biking path bridge, a thirty foot drop into a shallow creek. Yearly spend 3 weeks in Aruba. Restored and now living in 1906 historic home in Philippi, WV. Currently serving on community boards, historic landmark commission, and library. Love coming back to Oglebay every year..a slice of home and good memories.

Biography / Memorable Life Experiences: Graduated in 1964. Worked one year at Continental Baking Company (Wonder Bread) in Wheeling, WV. Graduated from Art Institute of Pittsburgh in 1967. Drafted into the U.S. Army. Served 2 yrs., 3rd Armor Div., Germany. Moved to Atlanta, GA in 1970. Worked for WSB-TV for 37 years as Graphic Designer. Retired in 2009. Memorable events in my life: birth of my two sons and Grandson. In 1977 won Emmy Award for Best Artist in Television in the state of Georgia.

Biography / Memorable Life Experiences: Married JB Shaver in 1969 after having shared "friendship" rings in 8th grade then broke up. Began dating again after THS 5th reunion. We have two children, son Chris in Columbus, Ohio; daughter Stacy Williams (husband, Brad) in Crozet, Va. Three beautiful grandaughters; Sierra (12), Laurel (9) and Cadence (age 5 and adopted from China). JB and I lived for 28 years in Ohio with 25 of those in Columbus and became huge Ohio State Buckeye fans. When JB retired, we moved to Virginia to await the arrival of grandchildren and enjoy the beautiful outdoors near the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Biography / Memorable Life Experiences: Personal: Sharing everyday life with family and friends. Watching and hopefully guiding my children as they grew into wonderful adults. Professional: Managing airports in six interesting cities and leading the team that built Denver International. Other: Traveling across the US and to Europe and the far east. Just having fun!

Linda Dunnell Class of '64

Occupation: Retired Chief Deputy Clerk, Ohio County

Family: Children, grandchildren, great grandchildren of longtime sweetheart Bob D'Cagna

Interests: Travel, Crafting

Biography / Memorable Life Experiences: I retired in 2012 as Chief Deputy Clerk and Office Manager of Ohio County Circuit Court Clerk's Office with 33 years of service. I am a member of the Wheeling Women's Club and am the Queen Mum of the LaBelle Donne chapter of the Red Hat Society in Wheeling. Back in my younger days I was a hairstylist licensed in WV, OH, and PA, taught at Wheeling Beauty College, and was store manager of Wig World. I also worked a while as a bartender at the McLure Hotel, and I can still mix a mean margarita! My favorite travel destinations are Hawaii, Grand Teton National Park, and the Southern Caribbean.

Biography / Memorable Life Experiences: After graduation from Kent State University, I went to Officer Training School and became a 2nd Lt in the USAF. Served one tour, met/married my husband, and started a family. We've lived in CO, TX, MI, and WA, traveled widely, and are enjoying our retirement. John is a retired AF Officer and our son also served for 10 years. Good memories include earning my BA in French & Philosophy; earning my commission in the USAF, raising a wonderful son, serving as a Director of Individual Retirement Accounts; and becoming Lead of the Docketing Dept at an Intellectual Property Law Firm in Seattle.

Karen Fitzsimmons HamiltonClass of '64

Biography / Memorable Life Experiences: Retired from West Liberty State College where I ran the Student Health Service.

James (Jim) Eddy Class of '64

Occupation: Retired

Family: Married to Susan for 40+ years, 2 daughters and twin grandchildren.

Interests: Repairing and building of computers, computer programming, family genealogy.

Biography / Memorable Life Experiences: After serving 4 years in the U.S. Navy, I spent the next 30+ years as a machinist-machine programmer retiring in 2011. I now spend time working on my interests and watching my grandson compete in karate tournaments.

Biography / Memorable Life Experiences: Earned a B.S. in Commercial Art from West Liberty State College. Worked on pit crew on Mini Indy Race Car. Bad golf player.

Cathy Franklin BossClass of '64

Family: Married to Rick. Have 2 sons, 1 step daughter and 5 grandchildren.

Interests: Time with husband and friends, reading, quilting, visiting Florida condo.

Biography / Memorable Life Experiences: Completed career as HR Manager in Cincinnati before relocating to South Carolina. Feel fortunate to have grown up in the Wheeling community. After nearly 5 years of adventure and traveling in our RV, we purchased a Florida condo near the gulf and enjoy our winters there. Enjoy attending the grandchildren's sporting events, volunteering at church in various ministries, observing all the wonderful wildlife we have both in SC and Florida. Can't wait to catch up with friends who remain THE BEST!!!!

Sylvia Garvin WeissClass of '64

Biography / Memorable Life Experiences: After WVU, I married the love of my life, Steve Hague. We had one daughter, Kristen. We moved to Oklahoma City. We were married 13 years and then divorced. I fell in love with a cowboy, Tom Dulaney. We were married 13 years. After his passing, I moved permanently to Florida where I married Donald. We have been happily married 14 1/2 years. I have travel the world. I have been blessed with wonderful family and friends.

Catherine (Jean) Fleming YoungClass of '64

Biography / Memorable Life Experiences: Secretarial Certificate, West Liberty State College, 6-1966; Secretary, Wheeling Steel, 6-1966 to 8-1967; Married Howard Foster 8-1967 & moved from Wheeling; Daughter born 1969; Daughter & Son born 1970; lived in 9 cities between 1967 & 2005; B.S., Supervision, Purdue, 1983; MBA, Indiana University, 1997; widowed 2001; Returned to Wheeling to marry Tom Young, 8-2005; widowed 7-2013. Worked in Office Management in healthcare, financial, and promotional products fields, 1987 - 2005.

Janet Friebertshauser JosephClass of '64

Biography / Memorable Life Experiences: Married high school sweetheart and am still happily married 45 years later and living in Wheeling. Was a schoolteacher and substitute teacher for 10 years. Have worked at Touchstone Research Laboratory for almost 20 years. Played church organ for a number of years. Life has been good to us!

Occupation: Retired Navy and Virginia Beach teacher.

Family: Widower. Daughter Thomi and son David. Son-in-law Rob and granddaughter Payton.

Interests: I like to golf, travel, and watch football. A Steeler fan my entire life.

Biography / Memorable Life Experiences: I joined the Navy in 1965 after failing at college the first time. Wanted to see the world and got to see 36 countries and territories before retiring in 1992. I was stationed in Illinois, Florida, Vietnam, Rhode Island, Greece, and Virginia. I ran into a classmate Chuck Jonas in Vietnam in 1967. I then became a Virginia Beach elementary school teacher retiring after 19 years in 2012.

Biography / Memorable Life Experiences: My daughter found me in 2002 and we have a good relationship. I attended her wedding in NYC in 2011. I broke my leg riding on the back of a motorcycle in Warren, Vermont, in 1973. Went to Miami in 1974 to convalesce and to care for my 2 nieces and 1 nephew. Moved to Arizona in 1976. Graduated from Arizona State in 1981. Worked as RN in Orthopedics, telemetry, CCU, home health, correctional nursing. You always can work as a nurse :-D. I'm back to working part-time at the jail.

Biography / Memorable Life Experiences: After one bad year at WVU I joined the Army. Became an infantry Lieutenant with the 2nd Battalion 7th Calvary, serving as a CO, XO, and Platoon leader. I was at Hue during the Tet Offensive and was at Khe Shan during the siege with the Marines. I learned why I wanted to teach and coach, and spent the next 35 years as a social studies teacher (comprehensive major all the traditional subjects plus - Anthropology, Psychology, Philosophy) and coaching mostly track (head boys and girls) and football (mostly as freshman coach and scout). Retired to the NC coast, Ocean Isle Beach in 2005.

Biography / Memorable Life Experiences: The last 50 years have just flown by, haven’t they? I started school at Triadelphia as a senior. I was so nervous. Luckily Donna Hannan befriended me and showed me around. Over the years, I have been busy with my wonderful children and adorable and extremely intelligent grandchildren. I became very involved with the art and music community here. I earned my Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees from Ohio University. For several years I took long term substitute teaching assignments. Ten years ago I was elected to the Board of Education. I am happy.

Worked maintenance, laid cement block, ran different machinery, ran 50-ton motor in and out of the mine, loaded barges on the river. Went on a cruise for my honeymoon. Went to Florida and enjoyed Disney World. Went to Blackwater Falls and Canaan Valley, went to Dolly Sods and got lost and ran into a guy that worked in the mine with me. Olivet VFD since 1974 and I'm the treasurer/trustee; I am a water board member for PSD #1 in Marshall County, WV. We have built two homes and now I'm helping our son remodel his home.

During the next 23 years, I earned my Master's degree, gave birth to 2 children, taught on the college level, counseled women with unplanned pregnancies, managed a clinic, and lived on a farm with wonderful in-laws across the street and a special grandmother next door. At 42, I was single and moved East. As a clinical research associate, and a member of The Washington Chorus (DC), I traveled to Europe, Asia, and Africa. I have been blessed with great friends along the way and a family whom I dearly love.

Along with instumental music, I love to sing. I still dabble with my trumpet. Had a slight heart attack in July 2014. Now I have 2 stents. Feel good! LIFE IS GOOD !!

Then I met another gentleman and we were together until his passing in 2007. I've been self-employed since 1980, first as a newsletter publisher for 15 years, then as owner of an agency handling vacation rentals in France. I sold the company in 2001 & since then have worked part-time doing itinerary planning for France & occasionally acting as a tour guide for first-time visitors. My mother is 92 and lives at Elmhurst, so I try to get to Wheeling every few months to see her. I hope I've inherited her longevity genes.

Being extracted from Con Thien by a C-130 Marine Aircraft, the heaviest combat experience while in Viet Nam. Joining the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 141. I taught at WVNCC for 25 years part time (evening classes) and at Ohio and Marshall County Schools (art classes). Also worked at Wheeling Flower Shop for 15 years. For 20 years I did Craft Shows in WV & Ohio. The name of my craft stand was "The Nuthouse". I have been married to Robert Dierkes for 45 years. We have a beautiful daughter, a son-in-law, and three wonderful grandchildren. I now spend most of my time with the Auxiliary of Wheeling Hospital where I am Artistic Creations Director and a board member.

I then obtained a law degree from W.V.U. and have since resided in Charleston and worked as an attorney, primarily in environmental litigation. My son Jeremy is the Expeditions Director for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

Biography / Memorable Life Experiences: After living 32 years elsewhere, I returned to Wheeling where I became interested in local history. I have written many articles for journals and magazines and do presentations for West Liberty and Northern Community College. I lived fifteen years in New Zealand where I worked as a microbiologist and indulged my passion for sailing. Later I got my Masters in Education and taught high school science for a few years. Life is full and busy. I am Vice President of Friends of Wheeling, on the Hall of Fame Board, and the WV 150 committee. In my spare time I present programs to local groups.

Returning to Wheeling I started my teaching career at Kruger Street Elem. Next I substitute taught in Coronado, California area, then for DOD schools in Iwakuni, Japan, and traveled the far east for 3 years. Moving to Northern VA in the late 1970’s, I taught elementary school, and studied technology. The last 10 years that I worked, I taught the integration of technology in VA at the elementary and college level until retiring to Dataw Island, near Beaufort, SC with my husband Steve. Little did I know the shop I “half heartedly chose” would end up being my lifelong career. After dabbling with college at West Liberty State College for a semester I headed off to the U.S. Navy where I volunteered for the submarine service. I served on both conventional and nuclear submarines and was discharged in May 1971. 4 years ago I retired from Xerox Corporation having just shy of 40 years with them. I graduated from Mohegan Community College in Norwich, CT in 1985 and reside in Niantic, CT, a small coastal community with my wife Susan.

Biography / Memorable Life Experiences: After graduation from Triadelphia High School in 1964 I attended and finished at West Liberty State in 1968. I had joined the Navy in high school and after college went active duty and assigned to a tanker out of Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. After a couple of trips to Viet Nam and many other places in the western Pacific. I returned to Hawaii in 1970. I met my future wife (Sylvia) there and we were married in Denver the same year. We settled in Denver where I worked until I retired in 2011. We have 4 children and 12 grandkids. Still work part-time. Thankful our health is good and enjoy every day.

I brought many notable Jewish speakers to Marshall, beginning with Moshe Dayan (started at the top!), &, as president of our local congregation, I raised a half million dollars to restore our beautiful 1925 sanctuary.

I have been in Japan twice when our son was stationed there with the Navy Band and I have been to Switzerland, Germany, France, Costa Rica, and Mexico to visit some of the kids we hosted. Biography / Memorable Life Experiences: I retired last spring after a long satisfying career in education. My husband and I love to travel and have been able to do more of that in this last year of my being retired. Over the last five years my brother and sisters and I have loved coming back to WV to enjoy Thanksgiving at Oglebay Park. We share great memories of growing up in Woodsdale and feel lucky to have had childhoods in such a beautiful part of the country. I've lived in northern CA most of my life but still feel that WV is "almost heaven."

Biography / Memorable Life Experiences: Met my husband of 42 years while working in the DC area. Lived there for 25 years. Moved to Greensboro, NC, in 1996. Favorite trips: Egypt and Africa! Still return to Wheeling each Thanksgiving for a family reunion with my older sister and nieces and nephew and families in a cabin at Oglebay. Can't believe it has been 50 years since Triadelphia HS!

David (Dave) Woeber Class of '64

Occupation: Retired Radiologic and CT Technologist

Family: 2 Sons, Don and David V Woeber, 2 grandsons David Francis, and Jaxon Woeber

Interests: Web design (radiology webmaster), reading, golf, traveling

Biography / Memorable Life Experiences: After graduation, I entered the US Navy and served from 1964 to 1968, after serving in the Navy, I then went to the Ohio Valley School of Radiologic Technology, and graduated in 1969 and was registered as a radiologic technologist. I worked at Ohio Valley General Hospital from 1969 to 1971. I then went to work at Guernsey Memorial Hospital as chief technologist from 1971 to 1974. I left Guernsey Memorial to work at Martins Ferry Hospital (East Ohio Regional Hospital) in late 1974, and retired from there in May 2013. I live in Wheeling, with my 2 sons, Don and David, and grandson Jaxon.

Linda Weber MeskewClass of '64

Occupation: Retired Psychotherapist & Chaplain

Family: Married to James for 47 years; two children and 3 grandchildren

Interests: Spirituality/Psychology, family & friends, reading, writing, walking our dog

Biography / Memorable Life Experiences: On March 31,2014, we moved from in town to our newly built home on 5 acres of woods. Before we retired, both of us were required to be on emergency call at our local hospital and therefore needed to live closer to town. We love living in the country now, and so does our German Shepherd Dog, Ellie! We were living in the Northwest when Mt. St. Helens erupted in 1980, and where our house is built is actually in an area that was completely covered over from the blast, but hey, it is only supposed to erupt about once every 180 years or so!

Danny Williamson Class of '64

Interests: Family activities, sports, reading, hiking, Church, traveling when we have time

Biography / Memorable Life Experiences: After HS, went to WVU. Played football, graduated, married, had a kid, served two years in Army, had a kid, after Army, got a job in Virginia, got MBA, had a kid, moved to TX for a new job, then moved to TN in 1977 for a job, had four more kids in 1979, 1984, 1986, and 1989. Still in TN. Spent 20+ years coaching my kids in BB, FB, Baseball, and Soccer. We've also had kids getting married, grandkids, funerals, and all that goes along with being a spouse, parent, and grandparent.

Biography / Memorable Life Experiences: Attended Tech School after High School. Worked for Boeing in Huntsville AL, Saturn S1C Rocket. Then worked for Boeing in Seattle, 727 pre flight and Customer first Flight on Electronics Systems. Drafted US Army, Vietnam,(24th Corp & 101st Airborne). Back to Wheeling and Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Electrician East Wheeling Plant. Attended Tech School again then worked for Zymed Medical, Agilent, then Philips Medical N.A. Installed and provided Training on Holter Systems and Telemetry Systems for Hospitals throughout USA and Canada. Retired now, work for Walmart part time.

Rhea Wolodkin SanbornClass of '64

Occupation: Business Owner

Family: Married for 45 years to Steve Sanborn and have 2 grown sons, Michael and Daniel

Interests: Reading, Walking, Swimming, Travel

Biography / Memorable Life Experiences: I have worked successfully with my husband for over 30 years and we have been very fortunate to have traveled out of the country to many interesting places, such as Iceland, Rome, Ireland, Scotland, Hong Kong, and France. We’ve built and modified several homes over the years and had fun doing it. Unfortunately, I have been fighting ovarian cancer over the past 10 years. It’s a tough disease, but you just have to take it one day at a time. My family has been the biggest blessing in my life and it was a joy to watch my sons grown up. Best Wishes to all at the reunion!

IT WAS A HUGE SUCCESS!! Over the reunion weekend, we saw 106 classmates plus there were

6 more that purchased tickets but could not attend. 112 Wow! Head Basketball and Baseball Coach Tom Ackerman came too.
