>Worship LET YOUR FRIENDS KNOW YOU’RE HERE—Check into Facebook! It’s a great witness to your network of friends. ANNUAL STEWARDSHIP EMPHASIS: Today we begin a new preaching series called LOADED: A Richer Perspective on Money. This week’s reading is Luke 12:13-21—The Parable of the Rich Fool. Money is a loaded issue. It's loaded with emotion, loaded with temptation… loaded with options. This makes money one of the most difficult - and most important – things to talk about. In this teaching series we’ll consider what God’s Word has to say about the stranglehold money and materialism has on our lives, the “servant role” of money in our lives, how to be a more generous giver for the sake of Christ’s mission, and how to take some personal action steps in more faithfully stewarding this gift of God. Our Stewardship series will conclude with our Commitment Weekend on May 16/17. May 3: Matthew 6:25-34—“Do Not Worry” May 10: Mark 12:41-44—The Widow’s Mite

STEPHEN MINISTRY- O Lord, our good shepherd, just as you care for your flock and for the lost sheep, you call us to care for those within and outside our congregation who are struggling with the challenges of life. Help each of us to recognize their needs so that we can reach out with your love and compassion. Help us also to recognize those who could benefit from additional care so that we may guide them to our pastors and Stephen leaders. We pray in the name of Jesus Amen. Call the church office to reach a Stephen leader.

>Member Engagement

LIVING YOUR STRENGTHS JOURNEY–God has uniquely designed each of us with a set of talents. We offer the 7-week Living Your Strengths Journey 3-4 times/year to help you uncover your “Top 5” talent themes and how they make you “you.” Following is 1 of 34 themes and how it’s designed to bless. For more info, about the next class, contact Sue von Fange at [email protected]. THE BLESSING OF THE MAXIMIZER TALENT starts with what you can see in people. You can see the strengths and talents, the potentials and the capabilities, and you can see the emerging abilities within people even before they can see them. You can literally see what people could be like if they were to fully develop and maximize the talents, potential and emerging abilities within them. This results in you having an incredible impact in the lives of others. As you hold up pictures and mirrors of what you see in others, you help them form new concepts of themselves that build hope and motivation to achieve and be what they have the capacity to be. Moreover, you are a great “coach” in moving people to their greatest potential and in moving people into roles where their potential can be lived out. How do you use your Maximizer talent in service of God and others?
