>What’s Happening at TrinityYOUR QUESTIONS – HIS ANSWERS Beginning in July our preaching series will be based on YOUR questions.  That’s right – you’ll have input into the sermon topics for a few weeks. This is the last week to write down any question you may have regarding matters of faith and life and turn them into us.  We’ll categorize all of the questions and come up with topics that are based on those questions.   HAVE YOU RETURNED A COMMITMENT CARD?  Approximately 300 Trinity members/families have renewed their commitment to God’s work through our church, school, and Early Childhood Center.  More than 140 indicated that they were committed to taking an action step in the coming year as it relates to Engaging God, God’s People, or the World.  If you have not yet returned your commitment and would still like to do so it’s not too late.  We truly believe that if you’ll take the time to think, pray and see God’s will and be open to His leading that you’ll experience more of Christ’s love and discover more joy in serving him. If God leads you to renew your commitment to Christ and His work in this way, you may return your Commitment Card to Trinity by mail, in the collection basket or bring it by the church office anytime. FAMILY OPPORTUNITY: “WHAT’S IN THE BIBLE?” Yes, they’re back again this summer! It’s a great witness to your network of friends.  SUMMER SERMON SERIES (May 31 – June 28)—Faith that Works (Reflections on faith and following: Based on readings from the book of James)The Apostle James challenges us, on many levels, not only to “hear” the Word but to “do” the Word. We know from Paul that “faith comes by hearing.” We know from James that “works/following” flow from faith. Faith and works go together. Faith without works is dead. Works apart from faith are futile. In this series the Apostle James helps us to explore various ways in which our faith is to be expressed and lived out in real ways in a real world.  MONDAY EVENING WORSHIP—Don’t forget that we have moved to our Monday evening worship schedule. An evening service will be held every Monday at 7 p.m. The Saturday evening services will resume in the fall.

Starts Sunday, June 7, 9:30–10:30 in the Community Center.   PASTOR-LED BIBLE STUDY – Select passages from James will be featured as we explore the Book of James and learn not only how to ‘hear’ the Word of God, but how to ‘do’ the Word of God. times/year to help you uncover your “Top 5” talent themes and how they make you “you.” Following is 1 of 34 themes and how it’s designed to bless.  For info, about the class, contact Sue von Fange at [email protected]. THE BLESSING OF THE SIGNIFICANCE TALENT begins and ends with the difference you are determined to make. You can’t stand the thought of living and dying without having made a significant difference. There is great energy, power, determination, and motivation within you to make a significant and lasting difference in the world. While others may consider you egotistical, this is not your motive. You want to make a significant difference because there is a lot wrong in the world and you are trying to make the world better. While you do want to be recognized for the difference you make, the difference you make is the driving force. How do you use your Significance talent in service of God and others? THE MITE BOX will be on display in the foyer TODAY to give all those who have been using the small Mite Boxes at home, to collect coins for LWML mission grants, a chance to empty their boxes.
