La extorsión telefónica es un delito, en el que los delincuentes sorprenden a sus víctimas y las someten a un estrés psicológico para luego obligarlas a realizar depósitos de dinero en tiendas de conveniencia o bancos, a continuación le daremos algunas recomendaciones para evitar que sea víctima de este tipo de ilícitos.

Si recibes una llamada en tu habitación que no esperabas o en tu teléfono celular de un número que no conoces, no la recibas.

Si decides responder y no conoces a la persona con la que estás hablando cuelga de inmediato, puede tratarse de una extorsión telefónica.

Si la persona que llama dice ser un familiar o compañero de trabajoy te solicita información o númerosde teléfono de algún familiar o amigo, no le des dato alguno, cuelga la llamada, bloquea el número y reporta al 911, contarás con el apoyo de la Policía Estatal.

Si la persona que llama le indica que está siendo vigilado por personas armadas y que para evitar ser víctima de un ilícito debes salir de tu habitación para dirigirte a otro lugar, además de ordenarte que no cortes la comunicación, termina la llamada, bloquea el número y reporta al Servicio de Emergencia 911, contarás de inmediato con el respaldo de elementos de la Policía Estatal.
