his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish
but have eternal life. John 3:16 Greater love has no one than this:
to lay down ones life for ones friends. 14 You are my friends if
you do what I command. John 15:13-14

commands. John 15:14 He went away a second time and prayed, My
Father, if it is not possible for this cup to be taken away unless
I drink it, may your will be done. Matt 26:42 Father, if you are
willing, take this cup from me; yet not not my will, but yours be

Mature Christians Grow from Milk to Meat Anyone who lives on
milk, being still an infant, is not acquainted with the teaching
about righteousness. But solid food is for the mature, who by
constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil.

Practicing a Christian Lifestyle Growing in faith in Christ 31
So do not worry, saying, What shall we eat? or What shall we drink?
or What shall we wear? 32 For the pagans run after all these
things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33 But
seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things
will be given to you as well. (Matt 6:31- 33)
Slide 16
When we Obey Christ we grow in Holiness 4 As a prisoner for the
Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you
have received. 2 Be completely humble and gentle; be patient,
bearing with one another in love. 3 Make every effort to keep the
unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace Eph 4:1-3 Practicing

We grow by the power of The Holy Spirit 15 If you love me, keep
my commands. 16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you
another advocate to help you and be with you forever 17 the Spirit
of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him
nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be
[c] in you.c John 14:15-17 Practicing a Christian Lifestyle

Behaviors that reflect a Christian lifestyle 1 Follow Gods
example, therefore, as dearly loved children 2 and walk in the way
of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a
fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. Eph 5:1-2 Behaviors that do
not reflect a Christian lifestyle 3 But among you there must not be
even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of
greed, because these are improper for Gods holy people. 4 Nor
should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are
out of place, but rather thanksgiving. Practicing a Christian

The Fruit of the Spirit 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love,
joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23
gentleness and self- control. Against such things there is no law.
The Fruit of the Flesh 9 The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual
immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20 idolatry and witchcraft;
hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition,
dissensions, factions 21 and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the
like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this
will not inherit the kingdom of God. Practicing a Christian

Walk by the Spirit! 16 So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you
will not gratify the desires of the flesh. 17 For the flesh desires
what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to
the flesh. Practicing a Christian Lifestyle
